Of course he didn’t. It was easy to see he had an ulterior motive. He probably hit on female guests all the time. With how he looked, she doubted he got shot down often.

However, she would not be an easy mark for him. She’d read through the guest binder tonight and tomorrow, explore on her own in the light of day. She gave him a single nod. “Goodnight.”

Without waiting for him to respond, she turned and walked along the building toward the lodge.

“Welcome to Double D, Cara,” she heard behind her. “Since I’m sure you’ve unpacked already, go unwind and prepare to get uninhibited.”

If only it was that easy.

Chapter Three

What first caughtDayne’s attention was a group of guests having what appeared to be an orgy. Right out in the open and in the light of day.

This was one of many reasons they secured the front entrance to the ranch with a gate and a guard. It helped their guests feel more free to do what they wanted, wherever they wanted, without the threat of strangers coming onto the property and causing problems.

To be on the property without a reservation, you needed to make an appointment and have an escort. They didn’t want to deal with haters and blackmailers, paparazzi and lookie-loos.

Before opening the resort, they hired a security consultant to make suggestions on keeping their guests secure. Since he and his siblings didn’t want to put them or their business at risk, it was worth the cost of that pricey consultation.

They also hired a retired State Trooper to be their Security Manager. Cameron Cook supervised all the security staffwho sat at the gate, wandered the property, and monitored the cameras twenty-four-seven.

Dayne had just finished having a too long, very boring meeting with his two siblings, Dylan and Danica, along with their Guest Services Manager, Erin, and was now ready to stretch his legs by walking around the ranch and checking in with guests.

It turns out they loved the fact management was hands-on. In more ways than one. But according to the guest surveys, face-to face-interactions were one of the top five reasons for them to return.

If that was all it took, Dayne had no problem doing it. Plus, it also had him interacting with guests he might be interested in playing with during their stay.

Dayne was pretty much into anything, so it wasn’t hard to find a partner or two. Or even four.

During the meeting, he’d been distracted by the short exchange between him and the guest named Cara last night. He kept checking his texts to see if she asked any resort employees to get a hold of him. Every staff member had his number, as well as Dylan’s and Erin’s, in case of an issue or question. They not only wanted to be accessible to their guests, but their employees, too.

As he now strode down the paved lane toward the lake in front of The Mane Lodge, the very sexy blonde woman was still on his mind. Before leaving the office area, he should’ve pulled up the reservation system on his computer to see if she checked out early and went home.

He sure hoped not.

Most of the guests he’d had naked encounters with were experienced, or at least knew the basics, and came to the resort to dig deeper into the lifestyle in a safe place.

Cara came off as completely green.

Normally, someone like that wouldn’t end up on Dayne’s radar. He considered the unsure and inexperienced too much work unless he was in the rare mood for vanilla sex.

Vanilla was okay on occasion, but wasn’t his preferred flavor.

It turned out it wasn’t his twin brother’s either, since Dylan was now in a committed polyamorous relationship. Dayne had been shocked to find out that his straight-laced brother swung both ways and he’d been keeping this doozy of a secret from his own family.

His identical twin was now in love and shacked up with his former high school sweetheart, Erin, and their Facilities Manager, Ford.

Dayne grinned. All these years, he’d wondered how his identical twin’s personality ended up so different from his own. It turned out Dylan and Dayne were more alike than he ever knew.

Dayne beelined toward the small group to check in on them. Make sure everyone was a willing participant. Maybe even watch for a bit. Possibly even join in, if no one was against the idea.

His plan last night at the fantasy party was to find a willing couple or throuple to join. Meeting Cara had derailed his quest. That part bugged him because it shouldn’t have.

After their short encounter, instead of heading into the party or upstairs to Heaven, he regrettably watched her walk away. The whole time he stood there he had to fight the impulse to yell out for her to come back. He also fought the urge to chase after her.

Him being pushy might have spooked her and he didn’t want anything to make her run fast and far away from Double D. Not before he had a chance to spend more time with her.

He remembered talking to her on the phone that day because, first off, he rarely answered the phone at the front desk and second, he’d been so surprised with how nervous she sounded. When he handed the phone over to Milly, one of the front desk staff, he really thought the woman would chicken out.
