“Shit,” I whispered.

Catherine winked at me. “It’ll come back. When it’s needed. When someone’s mate comes along. It’s magic that way.”

I started to ask more questions, but then I looked at Adam and Andrew.

The two of them stood together, simply staring up at the sky.

Joy filled me, and I went to them.

“Aye, it’s as blue as I remembered,” Andrew whispered.

Adam swept me into his arms, holding me and the book. “Our little human mate. Brave enough to face down an ancient dragon. I love you, little dove,” he said.

I cupped his face, kissing him. Andrew pulled the two of us close, and I turned, kissing him too.

“I love you both. I had a moment where I thought I would run, but…I had to stay. I want this with both of you.”

“I love you as well,” Andrew said. “Both of you. More than life itself. But I can’t wait to build one. Together.”

“Together,” we all agreed.

Looking back on how I met my monsters, I realized that maybe the great dragon had meant for us to happen. I wasn't sure, and I wasn't going to paint him as a hero, but sometimes I was left wondering if the curse was one meant to be broken.

At some point, the book that I had taken from the library had disappeared. I'd asked Catherine about it and had received a cryptic 'it went where it needed to go, more than likely'.

Which was a bummer because I never got to really read it.

But, regardless, I couldn't complain. I was beyond happy. We'd survived the maze, the dragon, and had found our happily ever after.

"You're thinking, little dove," Adam chuckled, drawing me into his arms.

The two of us were in a massive bed, enjoying the lazy Sunday morning. We'd flown out to my parents, who had immediately put the three of us up in the 'guest house' and were all meeting for mimosas in a couple hours.

Andrew came through the bedroom door, a massive blanket wrapped around his shoulders. He came carrying glasses of water, which, thank god— being tag teamed by two cyclopes made a girl thirsty.

"I think your parents were in shock," he grumbled.

I grinned like a fool, taking the water for Adam and me.

"Of course, they were," Adam chuckled. "They didn't expect their girl to end up with two mates. Any parent in their right mind would be worried, especially given our size."

Adam found the whole thing hilarious while Andrew was worried about winning over my parents.

"Oh my god," I laughed. "Andrew, you shouldn't worry. They'll support me no matter what. Plus, you already won over Pookie. She is the true head of the house."

"I think that dog is a demon, but I still like it," he said, crawling back into bed.

I giggled and drained my cup, then plopped back down between the two of them.

"Can you believe it's already been a year?" I asked.

"A good year," Adam said, setting the cups down and then turning over. He propped himself up on one elbow, looking at Andrew and me.

"A very good year. Although I'm still confused about how the Internet works. It comes from the sky, and it gives you access to all knowledge," Andrew said. "Do you know how much I've learned from the Wikipedia?"

"Do you think the dragon would stop cursing monsters if we gave him wifi?" Adam asked, laughing.
