“Cordelia, you look fine. You’re stressing for no reason.”
She rolled her eyes. “Easy for you to say. I don’t have any siblings for you to meet, yet I’m about to meet all yours!”
When I arrived at the loft, I expected her to be dressed and ready to come down and meet my siblings and their wives. Instead, she was in a panic because they showed up several hours early.
“Malik and Micah have some business in Chicago, so they won’t be coming. So it’s only Malakai and Crayson, who you’ve met, and their wives, Avery and Jordyn.”
“And Serenity,” she said. “You mentioned Serenity, too.”
“Right. Serenity is a family friend.”
“Okay, what about this one?” She stepped out of the bathroom after trying on her third dress.
“It looks perfect.”
She glanced down. “It will have to do. I don’t have any more options.” When she gazed back at me, she eyed me up and down. “Don’t you look mighty handsome in that shade of blue.”
I smirked. “Keep staring at me like that, and I’ll knock the ruffles off that dress.”
“Oh my word.” She placed her hands over her chest. “I love it when you talk dirty to me.” Walking around to me, she leaned in and whispered, “Last night, I had a dream that I sucked your dick and then threw some glitter on it.”
“What?” I couldn’t help but laugh because only Cordelia could be sexy in one moment and quirky in the next. “I see we still gotta work on your dirty talk.”
“Not the same effect as yours?”
I shook my head, still laughing. “Not at all.” Grabbing her hand, I led her to my house before I made good on my word and we never made it out this loft. The weirder she got sometimes, the more she turned me on.
Cordelia and I had been with each other as much as we could for the past few days. But now that she only had four days before she went back to Texas, I wasn’t ready to share her with anyone.
Problem was, her idea to invite my siblings to Arkansas before the grand opening of the Wild Valley Ranch expansion had been a great one and a way for me to knock out two birds with one stone and make it the sibling trip as well. When they were on board, all the better. Then they told me the upcoming weekend worked best, and suddenly, that grand plan of Cordelia’s didn’t seem that great anymore.
“Don’t be disappointed,” she said, as if she were reading my thoughts.
“Why would I?”
“Because we were having a good time in our little bubble, and now, you have to play host.”
“You’re spot on,” I told her. “But I’m glad they’re getting a chance to see everything. When Malakai and Crayson were here weeks ago, I didn’t let them see the progress because I wanted it to be a surprise. Now they can see it all.”
We walked into my house, where I left everyone when they’d shown up six hours earlier than I expected.
“There y’all are,” Crayson said. “We were starting to wonder if you were getting in a quickie since we’d gotten here early and probably fucked up your morning sex routine.”
Cordelia’s eyes widened as she squeezed my hand tighter.
“You and Jordyn are the only ones who pull that mess when you have folks in your home,” I retaliated.
Crayson winked. “Damn right.”
I introduced Cordelia to Jordyn, Avery, and Serenity since she’d already met my brothers. We all started exchanging small talk for a while, then I suggested we take the golf carts and head to their villas.
“Shotgun,” Crayson yelled, rushing over to my golf cart.
I laughed. “Don’t you want to ride with Jordyn and Avery?”
