“You are not here to punish me or scold me."

“No, I am not; I am here to tell you something."

“Hmm, tell me."

“You will tell nothing about last night to mom."

‘ Why? I mean, how can I hide?"

“You have to, otherwise she will not spare Steve and I don’t want my brother in big trouble."

Eva was looking at him in shock as he was the one who punished Steve by sending him to Australia, and now he was talking about saving Steve from trouble. Now she was sure that Stephen Smith was suffering from some serious mental issues or he was bipolar. She came out of her thoughts when Stephen fake coughed to gain her attention

“So you do that, right? “

“Yes, why not? “

“Ok then” Stephen stood up and turned to leave but her next question made him halt

"Mr. Smith, you are not angry with me for drinking and then misbehaving with you

Stephen again turned around and got close to her. He bent to her and then started in an icy voice

.“I am angry with you, but not because of your drinks, as someone spiked them, and also not because of your words that hurt me unintentionally as you are drunk. But I am angry withyou because you pushed yourself into an enormous danger yesterday and that is something I will never let come to pass with you. So next time... well, there will be no next time and I will make sure if it, now you understand."

Eva was shocked, but she just gave a nod to get rid of his closeness. Stephen gave an understanding nod to her and then left the room with long strides

Eva kept her palm on her chest to calm down her racing heartbeat. But the next moment, a knock on the door trembled her to her relief, or was it Kathey who was calling her for breakfast? Eva just gave a nod at her.

Sion Eva enters the dining room, where all the family has already settled for breakfast.

Rose wished her with a smiling face, whereas William just gave a nod at her and Steve was looking at her face. He was searching for some signs from her, as he was hell worried when he left her alone with Stephen.

Eva smiled and blinked her eyes to assure him she was good. Steve took a deep sigh, whereas Stephen was again getting annoyed by the way they were talking with eyes.

Eva was feeling bad for lying to her but she can feel their ardent gaze of Stephen on her

"Yes, it was very nice. We enjoyed it a lot.

“Rose, I have told you something important: “William started with his words."

"Hmm, I am listening."

“Steve is going to Australia for the deal that Stephen was handling before, and he has to stay there for a few months."

“But why stay there? I mean, he can go to Australia whenever his presence is required.

Steve just glances at his mother’s worried face, but he cannot have a say in this, as if he told her about punishment, then he has to tell her about the real reason too.

Rose gave an inquiring look at Steve, as he never stayed for a business trip in another country., and she was sure that this is not something Steve will approve of.

Eva was listening to the family members, and she was feeling guilty for this situation because her Steve got punished.
