“ Yeah dear “

“Sorry I got late today “

“ It’s ok, Stephen told us you are having a headache and also suggested that you must sleep for some more time “

Eva nodded while serving her plate she appreciated the way Stephen covered up for her or else she was not even ready with an excuse for getting late.

After gulping the breakfast in a hurry she reached near her car where she spotted Mr. Miller already waiting for her. Eva felt miserable as he must be waiting for her and here she already spoiled her routine He wished Eva and soon they started the journey for office

In office

“Sir, madam..”

Liam gave a hard look at his PA, who understood the reason of his anger

“I mean. Mrs Smith is talking a survey

“What survey? “

“ She has asked for some old financial reports “

“And you provided it to her? “Liam gave a threatening look at his PA

“ No... I mean we informed her that we misplaced it and we are currently searching for it.

“ Good, make sure she couldn’t get her hands on those documents. Understand.“

“Yes, sir."

They halted their conversation as Harry entered the cabin of his dad to get some important signatures for one of his restaurant projects.

Liam signaled the PA to leave them alone; he took the documents from Harry and did the needful signatures. Liam admired the way it focused Harry on his dream project. He didn’t lose hope when Stephen blew up her dream project, so he didn’t keep mourning; rather, he started with another project.

“Harry, did you talk with Eva?”

“Forget it, dad; she is a blind believer in the smiths. No matter whatever I tell her, she will not change her opinion about them.

“So she did not believe you?”

“No, rather, we got into an argument '."

‘“Tell me what happened exactly?

Harry narrated the complete incident to his father. Liam sighed at his son’s foolishness.

He tried to give some peace of mind to Harry.

“In this case, you are at fault.”

“Me? And what did I do wrong? You told me to talk to Eva," and I did exactly that.

“But not in the way you did; this is a sensitive matter, and it’s obvious that she will not listen to your accusations, especially against her husband and dad."

“What do you mean?”

“If you want to reconnect with her, it’s important to treat her as a good friend, just as you did in the past. She should believe you as a well-wisher. “

“I still don't understand why you even want to do this. If she is believing the wrong people, then let her be; she will learn in the hard way."
