Steve looks at her for some moments, like waiting for something.

“Just that.” Steve inquired.

“What?” Eva replied

“To be more clear, have you not come across the concept of returning compliments before?”

Eva raised an eyebrow at him and started with confidence

“A genuine compliment is what I always aim for when I decide to give one.”

Steve’s face fell, and he started

“If I understood correctly, you don’t think I look like a dashing and handsome man, is that correct? “

Eva shrugged her shoulders, on which the elders giggled as they were watching them taunting

“God, what happened to you? Where is my cute, naïve Eva? What did Stephen do to you?” Steve exclaimed in fake horror

“Nothing that you should know, “ Stephen declared while descending the stairs as he heard the last part of their bantering

“Now excuse me, as we have a party to attend. “

Stating this, Stephen held Eva’s hand and left the house. Steve kept looking at the scene, mouth agape. William patted his back and soon they followed the couple in another car

After reaching the venue, Stephen helped Eva to step down from the car the moment the media noticed their presence. The flash lights started flashing in speed.

Eva has to struggle to keep her eyes open. Stephen held her close and posed perfectly for the pictures. Eva tried to maintain her composure, bypassing her nervousness. The presence of the media did not surprise her, as she knew how famous the Smithfamily was, and Stephen had already notified her about these upcoming events.

A big round of applause greeted them as they entered the party hall after a few minutes. Stephen and Eva stood together, observing the hall, which was bustling with guests, and Eva clutched onto him tightly.

They reached the place where her family members had gathered around the big three-tier cake. Stephen held Eva’s hand in his hold and then cut the cake between a big round of applause and cheering from the guests.

Stephen fed the first piece of cake to Eva, and then Eva also followed his action

The party got started, and the guests reached the couple to congratulate them with gifts.

Stephen was introducing every business associate to Eva. It will be fascinating to see how many people Eva can recognize from the party as she looks back on the event.

Eva was greeting the guest with a constant smile on her face.

Someone’s presence widen her smile, as it was Richard and his dad who reached to them to congratulate them

Richard congratulated Eva and took Stephen in a tight hug.

“God, you both are making a wonderful couple, “Robert praised them, which brought a smile to the faces of Stephen and Eva.

Soon, they left to meet the others. Robert got busy with William and Michael, whereas Richard reach near Steve, who was standing close to the bar

“What happened? Why are you looking upset?”
