I pull out of her and collapse on the bed. She falls to her back on the side of me as Wyck kneels down and lays on her other side.
“Our Little Fox looks tired. Do you think you can go again?” Wyck asks her.
She brushes the hair off her face, musters what energy she has, and says, “Go again? How canyougo again? This soon?” She screeches. “Y’all are crazy, but yes… I can go again.” She laughs.
“Oh you dirty, little girl, I knew you could.” Wyck chuckles, smacking her on her thigh. “First, we need something to eat. Spade, we need food, can you see what’s left downstairs for us to munch on?”
Why the fuck doesn’t he go? I want her to myself, because who knows when I’ll get another chance with her. Just as I’m about to tell him this, he gives me a look that says don’t defy him. So, I nod my head and accept my defeat. I roll over to get out of bed, when her hand shoots out and grabs my arm.
“Will you come back for more, too?” She asks, using my arm to pull herself into a kneeling position. She sees the hesitant look on my face, and adds, “Please?”
I can’t help when I look into her eyes and see hope there, how can I turn her down? But before I give a definite answer, I look over to Wyck for confirmation that it’s okay with him. He nods his head, and I lean down and seal my answer with a kiss.
“Good, I’d really like that. Now, if you boys don’t mind, I’m going to close my eyes for a minute.” She yawns, and pecks my lips again. “Ace, will you hold me for a few?” She asks, placing her arms behind her back to show him that she won’t touch him.
“No, but you may lay your head in my lap.” He says, and if he’s staking a claim on her, he needs to tell her his reasoning for not liking to be touched.
“Beggars can’t be choosers.” She chuckles, flopping down on the bed, waiting for him to lie in a way that she can rest her head in his lap. “What do these tattoos mean?” I hear her ask him, and I know she’s referring to our Devils of Cliffside tattoos.
“Spade, don’t take too long because it will be your turn to take over this part.” Wyck chuckles, ignoring her question. He knows how to play his cards. He won’t answer her or let me be alone with her but doesn’t want to hold her for long. Well, I can live with that.
I bow my head, grab my clothes, and quickly throw them on. Then I head downstairs to have some food brought up.
Chapter Nine
Athens
Anoisestartlesmeawake. I look around and take in my surroundings. I’m not at my place. Slowly, the events from the night before begin to resurface.
“The Devils of Cliffside party.” I whisper. I must have dozed off, and I’m still here. Nope. No siree Bob, I gotta get out of here. When I try to crawl out of bed, a body prevents me from moving. Looking from side to side, I see I’m sandwiched in between Ace and Spade.
To say Ace doesn’t like to be touched, he has me cradled into his side with his arm wrapped tightly around my waist. I smirk down at him as I peel his arm away from my body.
Something is still preventing me from getting up. I look down at my legs and notice Spade has our legs entwined together.
It’s really cute to see these dominant men, tangled up with me in these sheets. I wish I had my phone to capture this moment, because it won’t ever happen again.
“All those things you said can’t ever come true.” I whisper. “Because I’m engaged to be married to someone I thought I loved. But I don’t.” I sniff, finally disengaging my legs from Spade and reclaiming my arm from Ace. “I’ve fallen in love with a Devil.” I say, hopping up and out of bed so fast, I nearly trip over my own two feet.
My dress has been shredded, so I look around for something of theirs to throw on. Picking up a discarded shirt and boxers, I dress in two seconds flat and run for the door. Only looking back once as tears well in my eyes, for the second time. I come to a flight of stairs and take them two at a time. Just when I think the coast is clear, a huge, beautiful cat stops me dead in my tracks.
“Hey there… Fella.” I whisper. “Aren’t you just the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen.” He is so beautiful and big that I’m afraid to stick my hand out to touch him.
He inches closer, almost as if he senses my hesitation, and nudges my hand. I don’t know how I understand the silence of men and animals, but I know that he’s giving me the okay to pet him.
“You are such a good big boy.” I coo. “Will you help me escape?” I ask, and he follows me to the door. “Thank you, sweet boy, and thank you for trusting me to pet you.” I open the door and step out, letting it shut ever so softly behind me. Then, I race down the stairs and out to the front lawn, but I stop. I have no fucking idea where I am.
All of a sudden, a nice, shiny black car comes to a halt on the side of me. I stand there on the landing, staring at the beautiful beast before me, when the passenger's side window rolls down.
“Excuse me, beautiful, are you in need of a ride?” Comes the voice of a deep-baritone man that does something strange to my girlie bits.
“Yes, actually I do. You're not a killer, are you?” Why do I even ask, it’s not like he would tell me if he was or not. I don’t know him nor does he have a mask on, so how do I know he came from the party?
“No, I’m not a killer.” He chuckles. “Although, I have murdered my share of pussies.” He says, winking at me.
“Okay then, I’ll uh, I’ll just hop in. Please, don’t make me regret this.” I whisper, hopping in.
“Trust me, you won’t regret it.” He purrs as he revs the engine, throws the car in drive, and speeds off. I don’t even look behind me to see if they came running when they found me not beside them.
