“Want? What the hell are you going to do when you get it?” He snickers, and I wish I could kick him in the balls and he would feel it.

“Can you shut the fuck up and stay out of my head? I’m almost done.” I huff, finally making it to his face and what a face it is.

Nice, strong jawline that would fit perfectly in my hands should I want to grab it and pull him in for a kiss. My eyes wander to his, and I notice they are brown with the slightest hint of violet circling around them which means he’s a Paranormal. Most Humans can’t see the difference between us and them because that’s the way we disguise ourselves.

I don’t go looking for others like me, but when I find them, I have to be very cautious. His hair is so white, it could pass for silver. It’s gorgeous and I just want to run my fingers through it. What am I saying? This so-called assassin has my damn head all mixed up. But, that’s not what has me concerned right now. It’s the fact that I’ve been caught red handed, ogling the hottie standing before me. As my eyes get a glimpse of his mouth, I notice the smile that is plastered there. Busted.

All I can do is walk up to him and own that shit. That’s exactly what I’m going to do. No sense in hiding the fact that I was admiring all that he has to offer. So, I stand tall, wipe the invisible dust from my clothes, and walk my happy ass over to him. I take slow steps because the way he is looking at me, I’m bound to trip over these ridiculous heels I have on.

“I don’t know why you wear those things here. It’s a fucking morgue. What do you think, you’re going to catch a man here that will be willing to take your V-card?” Randy howls with laughter. I stop dead in my tracks and smile sweetly at the stranger who has his eyes trained on me.

Shifting mine to look over at Randy, I say, “If you don’t get lost I’ll conjure up your mother and get her to bring you over to her side.” I growl.

“If I leave now, you will never know what I heard within his thoughts.” Now, it’s his turn to smile sweetly at me, because he knows I need the deets, and now I’ll have to be nice and let him stay to get them.

“You may stay, on one condition.” I wager.

“Oh yeah, what’s that?” He asks, folding his arms across his chest.

“You can’t mention my V-card or anything else about me wanting to be deflowered by him. Got it?” I ask as I’m about to stick my hand out to shake on it when I remember that he’s dead and the hottie is still looking at me. I know I probably look crazy because it seems like I’m talking to myself.

“I guess.” He rolled his eyes at me. “Lets see, now you want me to tell you what I heard?”“Yep, sure do.” I begin walking towards him in the waiting room, and I see he has a huge smile on his face and his cheeks are tinted red. I know us black women don’t blush but on this sexy, white man before me, it’s a damn sight to see.

“He’s got a good block up, but I see bits and pieces flying around.” He starts. After several seconds go by, I look in his direction and he’s just staring.

“Well, what the hell else did you see, Ran?” I whisper as best as I can considering he makes me want to scream.

“Oh, sorry. He’s looking for someone. I don’t know who, I can’t see if it’s a man or a woman. That’s it, he must be a powerful shield because even like this, I should be able to read him.” He confesses.

“I wonder who he’s looking for. You didn’t see why he was looking for them or who he works for?”

“Didn’t I literally just say that not even ten seconds ago? I swear you’re fucking stupid, but I have to love you because dummies need love, too.” He grunts, disappearing again.

“Hey, don’t leave me alone with him.” I whisper.

“Why not? You’re the big, bad virgin, ready to give her prized possession to some buff in a bland, white shirt, so clearly you can handle him on your own. I’m tired. Bye.” He stretches the ‘E’ out longer than it needs to be and vanishes… Again. Bloody hell. He really is going to be the death of me.

“Well, it’s now or never.” I say, pumping myself up as I finally step inside the waiting room to greet Mr. Hot Stuff McGruff.

Once I enter, our eyes meet, and I’m greeted with his sparkling, white smile that works so well with his beautiful face.

“Hello there, do I know you?” I begin my inquisition.

“Your eyes.” He mentions.

“What about them?”

“They’re white, like Storm from X-men.” He observes, and I swoon. How often do you meet someone that knows movies just like you do?

“You shouldn’t be able to see them. Unless… Is there something you want to tell me, Mister?” I already know he’s not Human, but I want him to tell me what he is.

“There are things I’d love to tell you but can’t.” He says, ducking his head with a nervous chuckle while running his hands through his snow white long hair. “No, you don’t know me and I don’t know you. I just heard through the grapevine that you did amazing work, and I need your help with a hunch I had.” I’m trying to listen to what he’s saying, but I’m mildly distracted by the way he just shrugged his massive shoulders, causing his arms to flex. And now, I’m sure my mouth is hanging open once again as drool begins to form at the corner of my mouth.

He clears his throat while laughing, causing me to snap out of the daze I’ve fallen victim to.

“Let’s start with introductions. Tell me your name and what you are?” I say, folding my arms under my breast. I don’t mean to push them out like this, but I’m not above using the girls to get answers and since men have one track minds, why not use it for the greater good?

“I’ll show you greater good.” Randy chuckles behind me.
