“Well, that sucks.” Interesting. So far away yet it seems like he is always so close.

“For now. Tiberius is unleashing hell in that place. They won’t be there long, but he doesn’t know what hides in the shadows.” She says, looking in my direction.

“Elrand.” I whisper.

“Yes, but he isn’t alone. Tiberius is good, but an army follows Elrand. In order for his father to stay hidden in the shadows, he must remain out of sight, yet he hides in plain sight.”

“Moon, what did you see?” Aryas asks, walking back to me and grabbing my face in his hands. “Youmusttell me everything.”

“We don’t have time. Long story short, Galileo ordered his son, Elrand, to execute Tiberius’s parents. I threw an Eternal Lightning Bolt at them and they saw me. From there, I assume they ended up finding Tiberus, feeding him lies about his parents death, the people that caused it and, their most prized assassin was born. He’s been killing people that The Messengers of Chaos wants something from.”

“Something like what?” Aryas growls.

“Something that will help them gain all the power in the world, something like… Me.” I whisper. “It’s why Tiberius killed my sister, why he was after me.” I gasp.

“Moon, how were they able to see you if you were in Tempest’s memory?” Aryas asks as his eyes burn holes into my very soul.

“Because I’m a Light Elemental, and I’ve been in hiding since the day one of them propositioned me to use my powers to harm others.” Had I known then what I know now, I would have killed the messenger, but not before I found out who was behind them seeking me out. Now that I know, I’m not sure what I should do.

“Your powers? What can you do besides wield light and speak to the dead?” He asks.

“I, I uh, I can clearly invade people’s memories, I have the Eternal Light that I can wield at my command, and I recently just found out I can touch the dead.” I say, forgetting that fact that I should be mad at him for lying to me about who he is. “I want to know all about The Ministry of Order. What do you think will happen when Tiberius finds out the truth about his parents?” I ask. I don’t know him outside of the darkness we are surrounded in when we come together, therefore, I have no idea what type of man he is.

“He will try and kill them all, but we can’t let him. Not yet.” Aryas whispers.

“Why the hell not?” I grunt, getting ready to head inside.

“Where are you going?” Aryas checks me as I give him my back.

“To find my mate.” Is the only thing I say before a blinding light comes down and takes me inside my house. They can all figure out their next move. Me, I’m going to get my man.

Chapter Thirteen

Aryas

Hersayingshewasgoing to go find her mate was like a knife through my heart. I have no one to blame for feeling like this besides myself. If I hadn’t done what I did, well, things might be different.

I can’t change it, nor do I regret it. It seems only like yesterday I came into her life and took her by storm. She should have kicked me out when she learned the truth about me, yet she didn’t.

There is still much she doesn’t know about those I work for. When Tiberius finds out the secrets I’ve been harboring, plus the truth about his parents death, there will be hell to pay. None of those who work for The Messengers of Chaos will be safe. I must talk with Sibyl to see what else she knows.

“Don’t leave her alone for too long.” I look up when I hear Tempest speak.

“I thought you both left after you showed her what she needed to see.” I say, with a puzzled look on my face as she walks to me. She reaches out and places her hand on mine.

“I don’t know what’s going on, or what’s going to happen when Ty finds out the truth about us, but they will both need you. There is a war coming, Aryas, and we are all a part of it.” She must see the confusion on my face because she adds, “The living and the dead are all a part of it.”

“How is that even possible?”

“Something changed when she tried to kill them and I brought us back by touching her. I shouldn’t have been able to touch her.”

“Why can you touch me?”

“Because, you’re a different breed.” She says, smiling warmly at me.

“A different breed of what?” Now, she’s piqued my interest.

“You’re a seer, but you don’t actually see all things, do you?”
