“Fuck you!”
“Wrong answer.” He mumbles, stabbing Rogan in each leg while moving it around to make sure it goes in deeper than just the tip. He cries out in pain. “Tell me where he is!”
“You killed my wife! Do you think I want to stay here without her?” He grunts.
“Yes, because of your son.”
“He will be taken care of once he finds the girl… Hismate!” He screams.
“What are you talking about? When The Messengers get a hold of him, he will have no time for foolish things, such as amate.”
Rogan begins to laugh and it’s laced with a tinge of evil, but filled with hate.
“The ones you hate so much will be your downfall, she will steal his heart and show him the truth about you all.” He coughs. “Of course, she won’t do it alone. Someone will help her and you will all have your judgment day.” I guess Elrand didn’t like that because he rips the poker stick from his leg, blows fire onto it, and rams it into his heart. That doesn’t kill Rogan as easily as Elrand expected, so he takes it out and stabs him repeatedly until there is nothing left of his heart and no sign of life in him either.
He steps back and admires his hand work. His father, Galileo, comes to stand near him.
“Leave no evidence, son. Burn him and this place down to the ground. Their deaths will have come by the hands of Humans that found out their true nature. You did well, my son.” He has no remorse for what just happened here. Zero, zilch, and that makes me angry! Before I know it, my eyes have turned white, and I’m reaching into the sky for lightning bolts. There are none in sight, but that doesn’t mean I can’t call them to me and that’s exactly what I do.
“Moon, what are you doing?” Tempest whispers.
“Giving them a taste of what’s coming to them.” I say, hurling the bolts at them both. Galileo is a whole different breed of Paranormal, because he moves out of the way with such grace you wouldn’t even know he moved. Meanwhile, Elrand takes them both in his chest. He drops to the ground clawing at himself, trying to get the shocks to stop passing through him.
“So, you are the one Rogan spoke of?” He bares his fangs as he smiles in my direction. I have no clue if that fuck face can see me or not, and I don’t really care, fuck him. What I hear next has my heart dropping to the very floor I am currently stooping down on.
“Call Aryas and tell him to get ready, we have a more pressing matter to worry about than just finding the boy.’” He says with his eyes trained on me.
“Moon, we have to go.” Tempest does something I didn’t think was possible until I felt it. She grabbed my hand. Not even a minute later, I open my eyes and notice I’m back in the basement.
I lift my head and sit up, shaking the feeling of time travel off me as I look around for Tempest and Rogan.
“Moon?” Aryas calls out to me as my eyes land on him.
“Get the fuck away from me!” I screech, moving as far away from him as I can.
“Moon, what’s wrong?” His face is etched with worry.
“They said your name! Why would they call you, Aryas?” I yell, waiting for his answer. “And how do you know my real fucking name, you bastard?”
“Where? What are you talking about?”
“I saw them die!” I cry. “I watched as Galileo allowed his son to murder them.” I say, charging him. I barrel into him with a force so strong that when I make impact, I ram him through a wall that leads to my kitchen. I land on top of him and produce my Eternal Light, holding it to his neck. “I will cut your fucking throat if you don’t tell me what’s really going on.” The tears won’t stop falling, causing my vision to blur, but I’ll be damned if I allow his lies to continue.
“I work for The Ministry of Order. I was hired by them to investigate the conquering of The Hidden Reach. There were many atrocities committed while I was undercover, but I didn’t witness them all. I was trying to contact Tempest and Rogan to figure out how they died.”
“It was murder, I saw it for myself.” I huff. “Who is their deadliest assassin?”
“His name is Tiberius, but you know him as fuck face.” He struggles to get the words out.
“Keep going.”
“His father was a Demon and his mother was an Elemental, but they were King and Queen of the Northern Realm called The Hidden Reach. That is, until The Messengers of Chaos began to start taking over different realms.”“Why?”
“More power, of course. It was suspected that The Hidden Reach was the first one they conquered, and you just confirmed what The Order thought to be true.”
“But why didn’t they kill Tiberius? What purpose did he serve to them?”
“He is a Demon Elemental, a Dullahan that possesses the Kiss of Death. That’s something very rare, and The Messengers of Chaos wanted him to take out the people that were a threat to them. Once they found him, they fed him lies about the way his parents died, and they trained him to be the best and deadliest assassin that ever walked the realms. His people were already great warriors, but he didn’t have a chance to grow up knowing what was right under their guidance.”
