“Just be patient, Ty. All will be revealed in due time.” What is she hiding?

“Time, I do not have. This is getting way out of hand. I need answers, and I will get them no matter who I have to cut down in the process.” I say, storming past them and heading out the door.

I need to know what she has done that’s so bad, that I’ve been commissioned to end her life.

Chapter Nine

Moon

Myeyesflyopenas I sit up in bed. Looking down at my still-naked form, I notice the bite marks on each of my nipples.

“Now, I’m not so sure this is happening in my dreams. This is what I get when I’m so wrapped up in something that isn’t real. These fucking dreams are ruining my life.” I whisper, throwing my legs over the side of the bed and getting up. I immediately wince in pain as I take the first step. We did fuck like two wild animals not so long ago, so what can I expect. Notice how I didn’t say, made love, he doesn’t seem like the type of man to make love. And clearly I’m not the type of woman that wants love made to her. “I really am one sick individual.” I laugh.

At least he didn’t leave me hanging like Aryas. The nerve of that jerk. At least he doesn’t want to kill you.

“You know what, quite frankly I’m tired of all this drama!” I shout. “Not once have I even tried to contact Astra myself. This absurd and unruly behavior is all because of these two assholes that decided to invade my life.”

I’m so done with this shit. I rush to the bathroom and wash off my sexual encounters and get ready for bed.

Tomorrow is going to be better than this shit show of a day.

* * *

That day and the ones to follow did not improve. Aryas avoided me like the plague, the other dipshit didn’t bother to invade my space any further, and I haven’t heard from the spirit that offered her assistance nearly two weeks ago.

It’s safe to say, I’m losing my touch and my mind. Grams hasn’t come to see me, and Randy hasn’t been around, either.

“You know what, fuck all of you guys!” I shout, and that has Amanda running from the front lobby to come and check on me.

“Juniper, are you okay?” She asks, stopping and looking at the mess I made.

“Peachy.” I huff, and I shouldn’t be like that because none of this is her fault. “I’m sorry, Amanda. I’m just throwing a tantrum because, because I don't even know why.” I whine, throwing my head in my hands. Ugh, I’m acting like such a child right now.

“It’s okay, suga. I get it.” She says. “I know it has something to do with that hottie that came to see you those weeks back. I’d be the same way if a man as smokin’ as him was all over me the way Randy says.” She winks.

“Randy.” I hiss his name like Seinfeld does when he says Newman. “I should have known that little bastard saw us.”

“Actually, whorebag, I couldn’t see anything. I just drew my own conclusions when I saw the way you looked after he left.” He says, finally showing his face after an eternity.

“Oh yeah? Tell me, how did I look?” I say, folding my arms across my chest, waiting for his answer.

“You looked as if you had just been royally fucked.” He laughs. “You had the biggest smile plastered on your face, and your clothes that are never out of place… Weretorn.” He whispers.

“To say you didn’t see anything it sounds like you saw too much, you nosey, little shit.” I growl. “You know what, I’m mad at you.”

“Alright, you two, enough of this, we have work to do.” Amanda yells, stomping her foot.

“Oh no, she didn’t just stomp her foot at us! Peaches, you betta come get this rock wilder!” Randy howls with laughter.

“It’s rottweiler, you idiot!” She says, rolling her eyes. “Goddess, you two were made for each other with your stupid movie references. It’s pathetic.” She says, but then seconds later, she’s cracking a smile.

“Clearly we are made for each other… Bitch!” He says, sticking his tongue out at her while flipping her off.

“You two are infuriating. I still don’t know how you can see him.” I mention as I partake in their laughter.

“How many times do I have to tell you, it’s because I’m a damn good Witch.” Amanda huffs, shaking her head for added measure.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. It wasn’t really a question, I was speaking to myself. You know how I get.” I chuckle. “Okay, let’s get back to work so I can go home and cry myself to sleep again at my miserable, little life.”
