“Sometimes. It depends on what Demyan’s doing. Dad used to have his own private jet, but Demyan sold it, preferring to use a private company. Other times, I like to live like the other half.”

I smile into my drink. I’m not sure I can ever get used to this level of luxury. When the seat belts come off, Sasha has his nose to the glass to look down at the world below.

“To you, Erin,” Alina says, “for helping Demyan be all I knew he could be.”

“To Erin!” Kara clinks glasses with us.

“No,” I say, “to you both for helping me. And being so good to Sasha. He’s got a big family now.”

“Is Tom coming?” Kara asks.

Alina frowns. “Tom?”

“My half brother.” I smile. “He sends his best, but he’s on a job he can’t get out of. You know Tom. Always busy.”

“I’m your real family.” Then she looks at Alina and taps her glass to the other. “We are. Me and Alina. Sisters from other misters.”

I laugh. “Is that gross? I can’t work out if it is or not.”

“So, let’s get real ladies,” Kara says. “Bachelorette night. What’s the plan?”

“Nope, I’m not?—”

But they cut me off, laughing and giggling as they plan outrageous things, strippers, skinny-dipping, bar crawling. Penis tiaras.

I don’t protest. I let them get it out of their system now. A big smile keeps blooming, bursting up from deep inside.

Everything seems perfect. From this flight to my new and old found family. From Sasha to Demyan and the baby. All of it. And I can’t believe how excited I am for this wedding.

Not the clothes or anything, but Demyan with his dark hair that’s sprinkled with gray. Just enough to deepen the sexiness of him, and for the first time, I wonder what he’s going to wear. A tux? Swimming shorts? Chinos and a Hawaiian shirt?

The last one makes me laugh but the girls don’t notice, no, not that. And I don’t care. All I care about is the commitment and him. All I care about is Sasha and the baby. Our new future.

All I care about is in a few short days, I’ll officially be Mrs. Yegorov.

I can’t wait.

When we get to the exclusive and luxurious resort that has little thatched cabins that go out on boardwalks into the crystal-clear blue water, we check into our suite.

Alina looks at me as she opens the curtains. “Don’t go crazy on your unpacking for you. Demyan has plans.”

A thrill passes through me as I put on the new swimwear, and then I fuss with Sasha and his sunscreen.

“Olga’s here for a reason, Erin.”

The maid smiles. Her hair is in a ponytail and she’s wearing jeans and a nice T-shirt. She takes the sunscreen.

“He can’t swim?—”

“Erin?” Kara gives me a shove. “Relax.”

“I can swim. There is the baby beach and the complex has pools. He’s safe,” Olga says.

Alina nods. “She’s here so you can have fun. And you trust her. She loves Sasha so you can feel comfy leaving Sasha.”

“But…”

“Dino’s orders.” Alina grins.
