Her moans rise in volume, competing with the music and laughter just outside.

We slap together, driving each other closer to the edge. I let her set the pace until she suddenly freezes, breathing hard. Sheclamps so tight on me that I drop the remote and grab her, holding her tight when she slumps against the wall.

She pushes me over the edge and I sag against her with a groan, holding her so close that nothing in me wants to let this woman go.

“Shit, that was not how things were going to go.” I take a long moment to recover after I’ve stopped the vibrating egg, and I’m no longer using the wall to prop us both up. “Are you okay?”

She yawns. “Tired. I can’t believe we did that here.”

I drop a kiss on the side of her neck and she shivers in response. “You want me to carry you out of here? I’ll take you home.”

“Can we stay a little longer?” She twists her head around to look at me. “I wanted to go on the big wheel. I’ve never been on one before.”

She looks exhausted, her eyes half lidded and sexy. Her plush lips are so tempting I can’t stop myself from kissing her again. With Tobie, it’s too much, or it’s never enough.

“Anything you want is yours,Gatinha. I’d buy you the wheel and put it on the quad outside your room if you wanted.”

She grins at me. “I think the dean might have something to say about that.”

“Probably,” I concede. “And I haven’t won you a bear the size of a car yet.”

She laughs. “The size of a car?”

No, not the size of a car, but there’s something special about this woman’s smile.

I carefully pull out of her, remove the egg from her, and dispose of my condom, using a napkin to clean us.

I take her hand and lead her to the big wheel, slipping the operator a few extra bills and a request for a couple of minutes to appreciate the stars at the top.

He gives us five minutes.

It’s against the rules, but I cradle Tobie in my arms, her head against my shoulder, as we stare up at the stars.

“Thanks for tonight, Javier,” she says quietly. “I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun.”

“You deserve more,Gatinha,” I tell her just as quietly.

And I intend to give it to you.

Chapter 30

Tobie

“I can hearyou grinding your teeth,” Max says with a grin from the passenger seat.

Like an idiot, I thought the mall was busy on the weekend, but people out on a mild Sunday mid-morning are determined to clog up the road by driving five miles per hour.

When Javier kissed me goodnight, one kiss turned into him spending the night in my bed. He left this morning after a soft kiss I didn’t want to end and a promise to see me later.

I asked him where. He smiled and just said later. After he left, I lost count of how long I spent grinning like an idiot at the teddy bear he won me at the fair.

This traffic has killed off my happy morning in an emphatic fashion. I am now battling road rage.

Finally. I release a sigh of relief when the lights change, and I turn off the main road. “I just don’t want to be late.”

“They won’t care if you’re late.”

I pull up at a moderately full parking lot and unsnap my seat belt. “But I will. Come on. Let’s go.”
