“No. I made it for you as well.”
“Oh, thank you.”
It seemed like this was a new concept to Josh. What kind of arseholes had he been dating? He’d tried to learn more about Josh from Oscar, but his new friend wasn’t saying anything. Daniel pictured what Oscar’s face would look like when he found out he’d fucked his assistant, and he couldn’t help but chuckle.
“What’s funny?”
“Just imagining what Oscar will say about this.”
Josh went bright red. “Please don’t say anything to him.”
“Promise. It’s nobody else’s business. Now, how about we have something to eat, and then I’ll take you back to bed.”
Josh’s blushes were so adorable. It took little for him to get all flustered. He looked at the floor, stammering over his words. Daniel squeezed his hand and caressed his cheek, giving him a smile. He didn’t like that Josh was lacking confidence – he was clearly good at his job, as Oscar did nothing but sing his praises – so perhaps it was just with men he felt that way. Someone had to have done this to him. The protective side of Daniel surged, and he felt compelled to pull Josh into a hug and defend him against any arsehole he’d ever had to deal with.
“Breakfast sounds good,” said Josh. “I didn’t have dinner last night.”
Daniel was aware of that. Josh had fallen asleep after their epic fuck, so Daniel had tucked him up, then grabbed a snack himself before settling in next to Josh and pulling him into his arms. It was the best night’s sleep he’d had in ages.
“What about the dessert I mentioned?” he asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
Josh laughed and then looked at the floor. Daniel gripped his chin lightly and lifted his head back up so they had eye contact. He raised a questioning eyebrow.
“I don’t think I could... you know. Not so soon.”
Daniel frowned. Had he gone too hard last night?
“Maybe you could kiss it better instead,” said Josh.
Daniel laughed and pulled Josh back into a kiss. He’d be more than happy to spend the rest of the weekend with his tongue inside Josh’s hole.
After he’d fucked Josh again, they were dressed and walking down to his local coffee shop. Given Josh had been saying he was too sore, it had only taken five minutes of Daniel rimming him for Josh to be begging to get fucked again. This time he took it slowly, not wanting to hurt him, but also wanting to capture every expression of ecstasy on his face as Daniel took him apart. He learned Josh wasn’t someone who could easily express what he was feeling vocally, but his non-verbals were very telling. Having worked in law for over twenty years, you learned how to read people, and Josh was a very expressive young man when he was experiencing pleasure.
He knew instinctively Josh was carrying some heavy burdens, and Daniel had this overwhelming urge to take them away from him. He didn’t know what they were, and it didn’t feel right to pry given they barely knew each other, but all Daniel knew was that Josh was someone important, and he wasn’t ready for their weekend to end yet. His work could wait, which was something he never did. He couldn’t remember the last time he didn’t do some work on a weekend. On Monday, reality would come crashing back in, but for now they could enjoy this time together.
The warmth of the coffee shop was a welcome relief from the biting cold of January. The UK weather was alwaysunpredictable, but it was guaranteed January and February would be ball-freezing cold.
“Good morning, Daniel,” said Jakub, the owner.
Daniel had moved to Hampstead three years ago after selling the marital home and finalising his divorce. He’d been coming to this independent coffee shop ever since. Jakub knew him well, and he raised a questioning brow when Josh was looking the other way. All Daniel could do was smile and act like it was nothing. The fact was, in all the time he’d lived in this area, he’d never brought another man to his favourite little coffee haunt.
“Morning, Jakub. My usual please. Josh, what would you like?”
Josh was in his own world, looking at the eclectic décor of the coffee shop. If you knew Jakub, it was very him – chaotic yet calm. A mishmash of different chairs and tables packed in, with nothing matching. Calm pastel colours on the walls, with a variety of art from local queer talent.
“Josh.”
Daniel put his hand on Josh’s shoulder, causing him to startle a little. He turned and smiled, looking a bit embarrassed. Daniel loved how much he blushed, because it made him look even more adorably cute.
“What would you like to drink?”
“Oh, erm . . .”
Josh looked up at the menu board, looking uncertain about what to choose. Jakub had a great place here, but the choices were limited to the staples. Daniel was getting irritated – not at Josh’s indecisiveness, but at what had happened to the assertive, needy boy who’d begged for his cock earlier.
“You can’t go wrong with one of my cappuccinos,” said Jakub, picking up on the awkwardness.
Josh let out an audible sigh of relief and nodded at Jakub. He shot a “what the fuck” look at Daniel as he steered Josh to a table. The coffee shop wasn’t too busy; it was past the lunchrush. After their breakfast, and morning fuck, they’d had another nap before showering together. Then he’d dropped to his knees and sucked another load out of Josh. Oh, to be twenty-five again.
