Josh looked at him, completely gobsmacked. Daniel kept going.
“I think we’ve got something special here. Don’t throw it away because of a sperm donor,” he said with a smile. “I’m willing to take your lead on this, Josh. Let’s just give–”
He didn’t get a chance to finish what he was saying as Josh crashed their lips together. Daniel pulled him closer, devouring his mouth. How could he have thought about letting this man go? He hadn’t felt this way about anyone before, not even his ex-husband. He didn’t want to get into what that meant right now. Not when this gorgeous man had his tongue down his throat and was practically humping his leg. Daniel could feel how hard he was, and his own cock was painfully pressed against his zipper. Perhaps his wish to fuck Josh over his desk was going to come true. Then he remembered that Claudette was probably still outside.
“Can we take this back to my place?” he asked, breaking the kiss.
Josh’s lips were puffy, and his eyes were glazed. Fuck, he was beautiful. What did Daniel do to get so lucky that a guy like this would be interested in him? A man literally old enough to be his father, because he and Gavin were the same age. It wasn’t something he needed to dwell on too much.
“What are we going back to your place for?”
“To fuck?”
“So romantic,” said Josh with a smirk. “You said you wanted to take me on dates.”
Was Josh winding him up? His cock was so hard he was feeling lightheaded. He’d take Josh anywhere he wanted to go, as long as it was via his place.
“I think we need a contract or something. You know, terms and conditions.”
Daniel couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s have a seat then, shall we, Mr Carter?” He gestured to the board table he had in his office.
Josh smiled and took a seat, and Daniel took the one next to him so they occupied a corner of the table. His hand went to Josh’s thigh, and he used his pinkie finger to confirm Josh was still as hard as he was. Josh smirked and then moved a seat up.
“Okay, what are your terms?”
“I don’t want your money, Daniel,” he said, his tone serious. “I don’t even want his. To be honest, I’d rather have a relationship with him and get to know my other siblings, but this is all he’s offering. Why shouldn’t I take it? But with you, please never think it’s about money. You’re who I... you’re the man I want to date. Not your wallet.”
Daniel tried not to get overly excited about Josh’s hesitation then. He just nodded his agreement.
“I’ll get a new job, and before you ask, no, you can’t use your contacts. I want to get this on my own merit.”
Daniel laughed. How did Josh know him so well already? He’d do anything to help him, but he would do as he asked... for now.
“We say nothing to Gavin until I’ve got my money. Let’s see how things go, and then we can agree how you’re going to tell him.”
“Me?”
“The man is nothing to me. It’s your friendship.”
“Anything else, Your Honour? I feel like I’m getting the rough end of the deal here.”
“One more thing, and I can’t believe I’m going to say this...”
Daniel immediately tensed.
“We started this . . .” He gestured between them.
“Relationship, Josh. You can call it what it is. We’re in a relationship now.”
“First time for everything,” he said, before putting his hand over his mouth and going bright red.
“This is your first relationship?” he asked, to be sure he wasn’t mishearing.
Josh went even redder if that was possible. Daniel moved his hands away from his mouth and rubbed his thumb over his bottom lip. Why had he moved a chair down? He was too far away to kiss. If this was the first relationship Josh had ever been in, it added to the pressure. Josh was about to get the full Daniel Harper experience. He may not have been in a relationship for the past five years, but when he was with someone, he went all in.
“You said you want to take me on dates?”
Daniel nodded.
