When he’s done, he releases his hold on his cock and leans forward, wrapping his arms around me and drawing me into his chest. He doesn’t seem to care he just made a mess all over my back. A mess that’s currently being smeared between our bodies.

“That was…wow.”

I can’t help but smile. “It was really hot.”

“Yeah?”

I nod, turning my head to meet his eye. “Next time, I want to watch.”

His eyebrows shoot up as a smirk spreads across his lips. “Watch me jack off on you?”

“Yep. It’s only fitting, since you saw me use Mr. Wiggles.”

He kisses my bare shoulder. “Nowthatwas hot. I’m going to picture it every time I close my eyes. I’m going to be hard every second of every day.”

I shake my head and chuckle. “Now we really are dirty,” I deduce, realizing we still need to shower.

“We are. I hope there’s still hot water,” he says, glancing over at the still-running shower.

“I have a pretty good hot water heater. Plus, I turned on some of the cold too, so it’s not like it was running straight hot.”

He carefully stands back, a cold chill sliding down my spine as the cool air hits the moisture on my back. Taking my hand, he leads me toward the shower. “Still, we better shower together. You know, save time?”

I snort as he checks the temperature and makes adjustments.

Something tells me no time will be saved by climbing in here together.

If anything, we may be in here longer, running the hot water completely dry.

But even the thought of a cold shower doesn’t stop me. I step beneath the spray and grab a loofa. We’ve got twice as much body to wash.

Might as well get started.

Chapter Nineteen

Caden

By Tuesday after work, I’m exhausted. We had an emergency call just after ten, and it took me half the night to get it isolated and fixed. A homeowner called concerned about lights flickering in their bedroom, followed by a burnt smell. I instructed them to immediately flip the main breaker, and I’m damn glad they did. When I got in there, I quickly found evidence of a major problem that was about to turn into a catastrophic ordeal. The couple ended up going to stay with family for the night, while I made sure the problem wasn’t going to get any worse before we could get back in there and fix it. I grabbed a few hours of sleep before spending my entire day at their house, updating their wiring in two of the bedrooms and the master bathroom.

But finally, I’m done.

My plan is to stop by the gym, grab some takeout, and then head home to eat, shower, and crash. And not wake up until tomorrow morning.

I throw myself into my work truck and drive to the gym. I really should skip it, but considering I haven’t been in a few days, I really need to get my ass in there. Though, I could argue the amount of cardio I’ve done with Adrienne more than makes up for a couple of missed visits to the gym.

That woman is insatiable.

Pulling into the lot beside the gym, I park toward the back, noting how full the lot is. That’s another sign I should just head home and forget about getting in a workout today, but that’s not what I do. I grab my gym bag and move toward the front entrance.

“Good afternoon, Caden,” Candace purrs as I approach the desk to sign in.

“Hey,” I reply politely, scribbling my name and the time onto the sign-in sheet.

“We just put fresh towels in the cabinets, and Rob is upgrading the free weights area.” She bats her eyelashes my way and leans forward, trying to entice me with her low-cut tank top.

A few months ago—hell, maybe even a few weeks ago—I might have been interested. She’s hot, fit, and blonde, wearing skintight little booty shorts every day at work. She checks many of my boxes. However, I can’t seem to pull out even one little come-on line. My normal flirty banter doesn’t feel right, despite the fact I’ve had no problem hitting on her in the past. I’d like to think it’s something as simple as being tired. I got very little sleep last night and have been working like crazy since yesterday morning.

However, I have a feeling that’s not entirely the case. I just haven’t felt the need to flirt with anyone but Adrienne as of late. Hell, even before that fateful night we wound up back at her place for the first time, she’s commanded my attention. Still does, which is probably something I should be concerned about. Usually, by now I’m bored and moving on, but Adrienne’s different.
