“That’s my pretty pink pussy,” he moans, a guttural sound escaping his throat.

His tongue flicks my clit, and my knees threaten to buckle under me. He feasts on me like a starving man.

"Yes, oh yes, just like that.” I grab his hair, pulling his face closer.

“You taste like pure heaven.”

He sucks my clit into his mouth as he thrusts two fingers deep inside me. His mouth works its magic, and his fingers curl into me, hitting just the right spot. I feel my orgasm building rapidly. The tension snaps, and I scream his name as I ride out the waves of pleasure that only he can give me.

His tongue licks up my essence, helping me come back down slowly.

The high I feel right now is like nothing else. I don’t know if it’s the combination of the kill and Eli consuming me—worshiping my body—but I’ve never felt so euphoric.

He slides my panties and leggings back up. “Wait, what about you?”

“This wasn’t about me, Little Killer. This was all for you. I see you, Tessa, all of you. And you're all I've ever wanted, and more.”

I swallow hard, tears threatening to fall. He presses a kiss to my lips.

“But you can thank me later,” he winks, standing back up. I slap him playfully and giggle as he tosses me over his shoulder, carrying me inside. We wait until dusk before leaving. I sent Eli to grab some items we’ll need from my shed. We’ve already loaded up some fishing poles, just in case we meet anyone else out on the lake.

I find Allie passed out on the couch, an empty wine bottle beside her, and the uneaten pizza still on the end table. Sighing, I cover her with a throw.

When Eli returns, I motion for him to be quiet. Dalton is wrapped in a tarp, secured with rope. I don’t want Allie to witness us carrying out her dead boyfriend.

Once Dalton’s secured in the boat, we head out onto the lake, traveling several miles away from the more populated areas.

“This is a good spot, I think,” Eli says. He picks up the anvil from the back of the boat. “Jesus, this thing is heavy. Where did it even come from?”

“The previous owner, I guess,” I shrug.

Together, we chain Dalton to the weight and toss him into the water. I watch as he sinks below the surface, ripples and bubbles rising as his body is pulled down into the deepest part of the lake.

“See you in hell, you fucking bastard.” I mutter, unable to feel even an ounce of regret.

The ride back is uneventful. After ensuring all the evidence is gone, I rest my head on Eli’s shoulder as we slowly head back to his house. The breeze runs through my hair, and I sigh, completely relaxed, knowing I’ve found my happy place. Eli is home to me, my safe space. I’ll never let him go.

Chapter 42

Ibreathe in her scent—strawberries and vanilla. The feeling of her relaxed against me is indescribable. My obsession with this girl continues to grow. I wrap an arm around her shoulders and steer the boat toward my house. The house no longer feels like a place I want to live. Maybe it never has. My home is wherever Tessa will be.

I dock the boat and help my lady out—not because she needs it, but because I need my hands on her. My life revolves around her now.

After grabbing a few changes of clothes, we head back to her house. We may not have always been close, but my concern for Allie is growing. And I know Tess is worried about her too.

We find Allie still asleep on the couch, and I lift her gently to carry her to the guest bedroom. She stirs, whimpering in her sleep, when I tuck her into bed. Brushing a strand of hair from her face I tuck her under the comforter just as Tess enters with a bottle of water and two aspirin, placing them on the nightstand.

“I’m so worried about her,” she whispers, concern shining in her eyes as she watches Allie.

“I know, me too.” I gently guide Tess out of the room, closing the door silently behind us. “Let’s get you to bed.”

She doesn’t argue, as I expected. Exhaustion from the events of the past few days is evident on her beautiful face.

I strip down to my boxers and toss her one of my t-shirts. Shedding her clothes she throws it on, and as much as I’d love to sink into her, we both need sleep. I pull her into my arms, her head resting on my chest. Within moments, her breathing is slow and steady. I follow her lead, letting sleep claim me.

Screams jolt me awake.

Tessa’s startled eyes meet mine, and we jump out of bed, heading for the guest room. In there, Allie is thrashing on the mattress, fighting off some demon in her nightmare, and I’ve got a good idea of who that demon might be. Fortunately for her, he’s floating at the bottom of the lake. He’ll never hurt her or anyone else again.
