Jade pulled back and up to standing until she was looking down at Franny again.

“What the fuck…” Franny repeated.

Jade grinned. “How’s that for coming your brains out?”

“Pretty damn good.”

“I figured. Can I touch you?”

“Please.”

Franny scooted over to make room for Jade, who crawled intobed next to her, immediately taking Franny’s shivering body into her arms. She laid a kiss on her forehead and another one on each of her eyelids.

“You’re so beautiful when you lose yourself like that,” Jade said.

“That’s nothing compared to the way you look when you’re commanding me like that.”

Franny’s body was still alight, buzzing like a current through a live wire. Still, she wanted nothing more than to be right where she was. Curled up with Jade, covered in her sweat in their bed.

“How do you feel?” Jade asked. “Do you need water or a snack or anything? Are you comfortable?”

Franny smiled up at her. “Look at my top, offering me such sweet aftercare.”

“You’re so silly after you come, you know that?”

“I’m always silly.”

“That’s true,” Jade agreed. “And I always love you.”

“Always? Even when I put the toilet paper roll on wrong?”

“Even when you eat all the leftovers my mama sends home.”

Franny’s arms went tightly around her, and she pressed a wet kiss into the hollow of Jade’s throat.

“That’s a lot of love, Jade Dunn.”

“So much love, Lim.”

“Mmmm… that’s good to hear because I definitely ate the rest of the cobbler in the fridge.”

“You menace,” Jade growled.

“A menace who loves you.” Franny made her way across Jade’s chest with kisses.

“You’re evil.”

“And loves you.”

“For real!”

“And loves you.”

“This is my payback, isn’t it? I pay for my sins by spending my life with a woman who has no respect for common leftover etiquette.”

“And loves you even more beyond that…”

Franny had been an awful league member the past few weeks. Her responsibilities with the football team had increased, and with the start of the school year and Jade taking up every spare minute outside of that, she hadn’t made it to Lucky Leagues for the past three meetups. She missed her old gals, though, so much so that she’d managed to convince Jade to tag along with her to bowling night. It would be a cute date, and she’d finally get to introduce her woman to the friends who’d heard so much about her. Somehow, Franny felt more nervous about this than she had when she’d introduced Jade to her parents over FaceTime.
