“Okay, but now go see your handler.”
She was going to give me hell for having to wrangle me like this. I didn’t care. Lots of the apprehension I’d been feeling had already evaporated. I was a puppy, I’d gotten head scritches, and Tony had been open about being my handler for the night.
“Woof!”
Going upstairs on all fours was a challenge, but not for me. I was a strong, athletic puppy. I could do it all.
I wagged my tail after I made it up all the stairs without bumping against the edges of the steps once. I’d done that at the beginning, and it hurt a lot.
There were a few people in the lounge area, but I didn’t even stop to check who it was or if they’d noticed me. The door to the Littles’ room had been left ajar, so I trotted in there.
And I stopped in my tracks. Paws?
Some people got very into only using puppy-language, but sometimes it made shit confusing.
“Come here, pup.”
I cocked my head to the side. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d seen Tony in full gear. He was wearing one of those short-sleeved leather button-downs tucked into leather pants. He was even wearing a cap.
Was it acceptable to just roll over and show him my belly?
No, he’d given me an order. And he had his arm stretched out toward me.
Was that?—
He was holding a cookie.
I saw chocolate.
I never ran faster in my life to sniff someone’s hand—and very sneakily steal a cookie.
It was the perfect size. Not too small that I’d lose it because of the snout of my puppy hood, but not too big that I couldn’t eat it without human hands.
I hummed as I chewed. It tasted different than I expected.
Right—it would be a vegan cookie. Never mind.
“Woof!”
In this case, a bark meant more cookies. Tony didn’t provide more right away, but there was a glimmer in his eyes. I liked making people happy as a pup.
“You’re a handsome pup, aren’t you?” I wiggled my hips so that my tail wagged. “I’ve got something for you. It even matches what you’re wearing.”
He’d gotten me something?
No, Jaime, you can’t jump a person and wrestle him to the ground even though you’re technically strong and capable enough to do it.
I settled down for chasing my own tail while barking.
Tony snorted. He was moving, too, but it was hard to keep track.
“Settle down, pup.”
I did as he asked. He was one of those Domms who used a deeper voice when he was in the headspace or issuing a command. I leaned back on my haunches. It stretched the wrinkled skin of my hole around my tail and made me bite back a moan.
Of course, Tony noticed. He smirked at me now. Not that the look made me miss how he was hiding something behind his back.
“On second thought, can you turn around for me first, pup? I don’t think I’ve ever seen your tail up close.”
