“Ok, ok. We understand why you like Beck more than Jax, but can we get back to talking about Shiftlan?” KC tries to steer the conversation back to the important shit. It’s a well honed skill he’s forced to employ often with our group.

“Right. Sorry. My program tracked him to a villa on the western slope of Mica Mountain. We should go before he disappears to the point even I can’t find him.”

“You have a program?” Beck asks with stars in his fucking eyes.

“Yup! Built it myself! I use it to track down my hits.”

“Marry me,” Beck pleads in awe.

“Oh, does that turn you on? Maybe I’ll show you my set up when we’re done.” She waggles her brows at him.

His face may turn a crimson to rival her bike, but she hit the nail on the head with how to get his motor running.

“Ivy,” King says.

“Fine, fine. I’ll stop. Hope your bikes are full, it’s gonna be a bit of a drive.” With that, she spins on her heel and heads for the door, stopping to put on a leather jacket and riding boots.

The six of us stare after her before snapping out of it and following her through the door. She flips a switch and the garage fills with light.

With the light on, I can get a better look at the space, and more importantly, her rides. Our girl has a one of a kind, Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It’s even sexier in the light. Then she walks by the Bugatti over to the bad ass Dark Horse. The color is amazing as is the bike itself. She runs her hand down the gas tank like she's stroking a cat and murmurs something I can’t hear.

“I know you want to go. But I need Kira for this job. Stop being a baby.”

“Is she talking to her bike?” Beck whispers.

“Yes. And I’m in love,” I sigh.

She turns back to us and rolls her eyes. “She’s so dramatic.”

We watch as she leaves her bike and walks back to the Bugatti. Opening the door, she looks over her shoulder at us. “Well what are you waiting for?”

“Not the bike?” It comes out of my mouth before I think better of it, and she grins at me.

“As much as I love my baby, don't you think it will attract a little attention with a hogtied Shitfan on the back of it?” she asks, again purposely saying Stanley's name wrong.

KC slaps me on the back before, adding, “Smart, and beautiful. Let's ride.”

Chapter 21

Ivy

About a mile from the location, I turn off on a side road and wait for the guys. Kira is brimming with excitement. She never gets to go on these kinds of assignments with me. I hear their bikes before I see them so I climb out and wait for them. I'm leaning up against the trunk when they pull up. Dismounting their bikes, they make their way towards me.

KC gets to me first. “Glad you stopped. We've got some of the club's lower ranks coming. Before you say it, they won't get in the way. They're going to be there to back us up but they know that Stanley is ours.”

I nod. “I figured this would be a good place to stop and discuss our entrance and exit strategy. I know we're close enough for my tablet, so I'm assuming Cree and Beck, yours as well?”

They walk up, Cree holding his tablet and gives me a megawatt smile. “Absolutely beautiful.” He then begins typing on his tablet.

We spend the next thirty minutes going over our partners and our strategy. Of course, I get partnered with Jax. Lucky me.We need to move now before the sun rises in another hour. Darkness will conceal what's coming.

We're just finishing up when the rest of the club members that are going show up. KC gives them their assignments and Beck passes out earwigs to everybody, including the lower ranks.

Once everything is worked out, I walk over to Jax, who's leaning up against his hog. She sure is pretty, but not as pretty as my girl. I don't ride bitch, but I'm going to make an exception this once.

“Cree,” I say, tossing my keys at him. “Wreck her and I'll add your balls to my collection.”

Since he and Beck aren't going in until after we've cleared the villa, it's logical for them to stay in my car. I’m surprised when nobody snorts at my comment. Everybody is serious. We have our war faces on, because that's what we're doing, going to war.
