I moan into his mouth and dig my nails into the back of his head as I hold him still. A throat clearing clears my head and I pull back from the kiss to see my other mates staring at us with a mix of lust and amusement.
“Actually, we had something we wanted to talk to you about, bella,” Luca says.
“O-kay?” I squirm in Jett's lap until I’m sitting up better and can see Luca better. Jett wraps both arms around my belly now that I’m sitting up, and puts his chin on my shoulder.
“It’s nothing bad, Bumblebee,” he chuckles, a puff of air hitting my ear.
“We were just talking-”
“Oh, that’s not concerning,” I mutter, interrupting Luca. He arches a brow at me and I know I’ll be paying for that later. I can’t wait. “Sorry. Continue.”
His eyes warn me not to interrupt again, so of course, I’m going to interrupt him several more times throughout his speech.
“Since Jett and Harkin are always over here anyway-”
“Are they?” I ask innocently.
He narrows his eyes before continuing. “And we don’t want to disturb Grayson’s routine too much.”
“Oh no. Don’t disturb my poor buddy,” I gasp.
“If you don’t start taking this conversation seriously, we’re going to make all the decisions without you,” he challenges.
“Okay, okay. I’ll be serious. What’s going on?”
“We want you to move in with us. Here,” Luca states.
“Oh.” Luca, Harkin, and Mateo look like they’re holding their breath as they wait for my answer. Do I want to move in with them? We’ve only known each other a day. But we are mates, so why wouldn’t I? We’re going to live together at some point anyway, why wait? Besides, the more I think about it, the less I want to spend time away from them. I want to be there when they come home from work after a long day. I want to share the boring and exciting parts of life with them. I want to be able to cuddle up with any of them whenever I feel like it. Smiling, I put them out of their misery. “Yes. I’ll move in with you.”
I swear, I can hear the whoosh as their collective breath is let out.
“You were really worried I’d say no?” I feign indignation.
“Of course, not,” Luca scoffs, making me laugh. “I’ll contact the property manager tomorrow about an updated lease.”
“You have fun with that,” Harkin says. “While you’re doing that, can you get me out of my lease? I’ll do the dishes for a week if I don’t have to talk to Doyle.”
“Oh yeah,” I laugh. “Lav told me he’s a dick. Is he going to give you a hard time about so many people living here?”
“I can handle Doyle. Don’t worry,” Luca insists.
“Okay.” I shrug. “I don’t really have much to move, just the clothes I bought when Lav took me shopping last week. Everything else I own is back home in Seaside Cove. But since I’m staying, I can have my mom send my things.”
“At least you have clothes,” Mateo mutters. “Nothing against basketball shorts, but if I’m going to stay here as a man, I need my own clothes.”
Everyone laughs and I say, “I’ll take you shopping tomorrow while everyone else is at work.”
“Work.” Mateo smirks. “That means I get you to myself.”
“Damn it,” Jett huffs behind me.
Giggling, I lean back into his chest and look up at his face. “You won’t be missing anything. He’ll probably wish he had work after spending the day shopping with me.”
“Nah,” Jett murmurs. “He’d take any reason to spend time with you. I know I would.”
Smiling, I lean up and press my lips to his. I wouldn’t have taken Jett for the romantic type, but he sure turns my heart to mush.
My stomach rumbles and everyone stares at me. Jett rubs my belly and chuckles. “Hungry, Bumblebee?”
