“So perfect,” Bennett murmurs.
“Our good girl,” Mason agrees.
If I wasn’t already sure about these men, the multiple orgasms would have convinced me to give them a chance.
“I knew we could break your brain,” Bennett chuckles, his chest vibrating beneath me.
“Shut up,” I mumble as I rub my face over his soft chest hair getting cozy before I take a nap on my new Bennett-sized bed.
I lay on top of Bennett with Mason and Riley on either side of me. All three of them have a hand on me, needing to feel me. To know that I’m alright. That I’m really there and theirs. That I’m not going anywhere. We may have had a rocky start, what with the whole brother/best friend thing, and me not willing to risk being hurt by another mate, but I’m so thankful for that freak blizzard for bringing us together. For fate forcing me to see I was stupid for hiding from happiness out of fear. Most of all, I’m thankful for these three amazing men who understand me. Who only ever want to see me happy. It may have been hard to take a chance on love after being burned, but God, am I glad I did.
Epilogue
Mia
It’sbeentwomonthssince I met, and subsequently moved in with my mates. Life is good. I may miss being surrounded by trees all the time, but I love their house, and I still work at the Willow Grove National Forest, so I get plenty of outdoor time at work. It’s amazing how easily I fit in here. I thought for sure it would take more time getting used to not being alone anymore, but since we’ve mated, I find I don’t like being away from any of them.
The guys offered to turn the office back into a bedroom for me, so I could have my own space. But I don’t need it. I spend my nights bouncing from bed to bed and I honestly think it would be the same if I had my own. I took over half of Mason’s closet, since he doesn’t use it, and I hang out with them in the living room, or hide in Mason’s reading nook if I ever need some space. It’s enough for me.
Living in town has its benefits too. Like I go to The Hoppin’ Fountain a lot more often than I used to. Everyone knows me there and I’ve made some pretty good friends hanging out while waiting for Riley to get off. The guys also introduced me to Soulful Spirits. I never thought I’d be much of a bar-goer, but the place just has this atmosphere that makes it a really fun place to be. Plus the owners are pretty cool.
Nyla and I have gotten close over the last few weeks. We’ve all been over to their house a time or two. Their house is surrounded by woods where they shift and run around as their animals. I wish we had something like that. That’s really the only downside to living in town.
“Hey, Mia. Whatcha doin?” Riley asks as he bounces onto the couch beside me.
“Hey, Riles. Just reading a new book. What are you up to?” I side eye him.
“Me? I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not up to anything,” he says innocently.
“Mmhmm. And why don’t I believe that?”
“Because you’re a smart woman?” Bennett says from behind me, leaning over the couch and kissing the top of my head. “Hey, gorgeous.”
“Hey, baby. How was work?” I ask.
“Good. No major injuries today, so it was a good day.”
“I’m glad. Where’s Mason? He’s normally home by now,” I muse just as the front door opens. “There he is.”
“Talking about me?” Mason asks as he walks into the living room.
“Just wondering what was taking you so long,” I tease.
“I actually have a surprise for you. I was making sure it was ready before I came and got you.”
“Oh! I love surprises!” I stick my bookmark in my book and close it, setting it on the coffee table before I jump up and turn to face my sneaky mate. Normally it’s Riley with the surprises. “Let’s go!” I say, heading for the door, not checking to see if anyone is following me, closing the front door to the sound of their laughter.
By the time I climb in the front seat, they’re all walking down the sidewalk to the driveway. Mason gets in the driver’s seat and Bennett and Riley hop in the back as I bounce in my seat wondering what on earth my surprise could be. We drive to the outskirts of town and all of the possibilities I had conjured up go out the window. It’s clearly not dinner, we’re heading in the wrong direction for that. We’re not going to visit friends, no one we know lives out this way. I honestly have no clue where he’s taking us.
We turn down a bumpy dirt road surrounded by trees and Mason stops the Jeep in the middle of no where and gets out of the Jeep without a word. I look at Bennett and Riley to see if they have any idea what’s going on, but they look as confused as I do. Wanting to know what the hell is going on, I jump out and follow Mason around the front of the Jeep.
“Where are we?” I ask him confused.
“This is our new home. Well, it will be in about seven months.”
“What? We’re moving?” I ask, stunned.
“I love you, Mia. I want what’s best for you. I know you love our house, but you need this,” he says waving his hand to the trees surrounding us. “So, I found the perfect spot and designed our perfect house. The builders are going to break ground in the spring, as soon as the ground thaws.”
