He just shakes his head as he walks past me. Already used to my antics. Oh well. He can be a butt,I’m gonna have fun!
Bouncing into the room to the sound of the grandmas’ gasps, Logan stops me before I go far.
“I never said I wasn’t going to have fun. So don’t be gettin’ all huffy with me.”
Rolling my eyes, I giggle as I run away from him.I know that! Just playin’, gosh!
“Whatever,” he grumbles as I catch up to the grandmas.
“Isn’t it thebest? Nate made it for me! It changes to be however I want it! Mommy said we’re sleeping in here, so I added a bunch of rooms.”
“It is something else.Youdesigned this all by yourself?” Gram C. asks in awe.
“Uh huh! Watch this!” I exclaim as I ask the house to make a huge tv on the wall and big bean bag beds to cover the floor. I don’t even have to close my eyes anymore. I talk to the house so much, it’s like talking to Logan.
“Wow! I guess that means you want to watch a movie, huh?” Gram H. grins at me.
“Yes! Can we watchFrozen?!”
“Noooo!” Logan objects… very loudly.
Turning around, I cross my arms and glare at him. “Why not? Youneverwant to watchFrozenwith me!” I stomp my foot for extra measure.
“Oh god, Violet! Don’t do that! Besides, that’s a lie. We watchFrozenall the time! Why don’t we watch something new for a change?” he pouts.
“Okay, you two. We can find something else that everyone wants to watch. When your mother was younger, she and the boys used to fight over what to watch too,” Nana tells us.
“Oh, yes. The girls always wanted to watch the princess movies and the boys always acted like it was the worst thing in the world. Do you know what we did whenever that would happen?” Gram C. asks.
“What?” I ask, completely drawn into the story from my mom’s childhood. I really don’t know much about when she was little.
“We would have them make their own videos! Do you want to try?” Gram H. asks.
“Uh… yes! We can make ourownvideos?! Why haven’t we done that, Logan?!”
“I don’t know.” He shrugs. “Just never thought about it, I guess.”
“You just needed your grandmas to show you how. Don’t worry you’ll be making your own videos before you know it!” Nana cheers.
* * *
Oh that was somuch fun! The grandmas are my new favorite people! Well besides Logan, obviously. But they showed us how to use our magic in fun new ways. I didn’t wanna stop playing, but apparently, we have to eat. Gram C. ordered us pizza from Cheese Louise, and now we’re all sitting at the table eating. I’m so glad they all decided to watch us this weekend.
“Alright, eat up. Then, after dinner, we’ll watch the videos we made!”
“Okay, Nana!” I stuff my face with slice after slice until I feel like I’m gonna be sick. “Ugh, I don’t feel good,” I whine, holding my tummy.
“Well, you shouldn’t have ate so much, silly.” Logan giggles.
“But it was so good. I couldn’t help it.” I glare at him.
The grams share a look before Gram H. pulls a bottle out of her purse. “Here, sweetie. Drink some of this, it’ll make you feel better.”
“What is it?” I look at the bottle like she’s trying to poison me.
“Oh don’t look at it like that! It’s not going to kill you! It’s just a little health potion I made. Hudson got his talent for health spells from someone, you know, and it sure wasn’t his father, bless his heart.”
Hmmm. I guess… Mommy told me Hudson puts health spells in the muffins and cinnamon rolls I eat. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt. I don’t think she would really try to poison me. I’m just really nervous about potions after what happened to my mom.
