“Good. Then you can tell me why the hell you kept that from her. And who the hell is it?!”
I sigh. I really hate explaining the same thing over and over. “Because Rowe was having a good weekend and we didn’t want to ruin it. She deserved some down time, to not have to worry about all of this shit.”
She glares at me, no doubt because of the attitude in my tone, but eventually relents. “Fine. You get a pass this once, but don’t pull that shit again. Now tell me who did it, damn it.”
I look around waiting for someone else to tell her. I know I’m not gonna do it. No way am I going to be the one she’s focusing on when she learns it was BB this whole time. Nuh uh, no way.
Rowe rolls her eyes as we all continue to remain silent on the matter. “They’re just too chicken to tell you. It was Britney.”
“Are you fucking kidding me?!? That fucking bitch did this?! Where is she? I’ll fucking kill her!”
“You can’t, well not yet, at least. We have a plan, and we need her alive until we find out what spell she used,” Rowe reminds her.
“Fine. But I want in on this plan. I’m going to destroy that fucking bitch.”
Hudson finally comes back from the kitchen carrying two glasses. I think he was hiding in there until someone else told Quinn about BB. Smart move actually, because it probably would have fallen on him again, and he’s in enough shit today. He passes the glasses off to the girls then sits back down as Rowe explains the plan to Quinn.
“So we just sit around and wait for her to go somewhere? What if she doesn’t leave her house again today?” she asks, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms.
“She will,” West says with utter certainty.
Quinn snaps her head in his direction. “You sound so sure about that.” Her disbelieving tone is understandable, but the rest of us have come to accept and trust whatever mumbo jumbo he’s got going on that makes himknowthis shit.
“That’s because I am,” he states simply, brokering no argument.
“Well, damn. If that’s how it is, okay then. So mister know-it-all, when is she gonna leave the house?” she skeptically asks him.
“She’s heading to the grocery store in ten minutes,” he states, undisturbed by Quinn’s lack of faith in his knowledge.
“Okay, what store?” She rolls her eyes incredulously.
“The only one in town?” He looks at her like maybe she has a few screws loose. Which is pretty accurate actually.
“Oh. I knew that.” She sighs and shakes her head at herself.
“So I should go now?” Hudson asks West.
“Give it a couple minutes. If you leave in ten, she’ll probably be in the cereal aisle by the time you get there,” he states.
The whole room gapes at him. There is nowayhe could know that. I can understand him wanting to keep shit close to the vest, but we’ve got some serious questions for him when this is all over.
“What? Why are you all looking at me like that?” he asks perplexed.
Rowen starts giggling uncontrollably and we all turn our attention to her.
“You okay, Lovely?” I ask with a smile. I don’t carewhyshe’s giggling like a loon. I just love seeing her so free and relaxed. Especially after the conversations we’ve had today.
“We…West,” she gets out between giggles. “Oh… My… God. Like you don’t know why we’re all looking at you, like you’re some kind of secret superhero that knows where everyone is at all times.”
“She has a point, man. What the hell is up with you? When are you going to tell us how you know all of this shit?” Ayden challenges.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he attempts to evade our questions, but it’s only going to work for so long. “You better get going, Hudson.”
“What? Why? It hasn’t been ten minutes yet.” Hud cocks his head.
West gives him a hard look and he jumps up and starts saying goodbye. ”Right, I’ll be back as soon as I can. Stay here and don’t burn the house down.” He kisses Rowe then heads to the store. Where he will hopefully run into BB, and if all goes to plan, we’ll have her spelled by this time tomorrow.
