That makes me laugh. Oh, he has no idea.

“See you soon, Declan.” With that taken care of, I hang up and let out a deep sigh. That was actually better than I thought it would be. If we overlook the whole stammering like a fool when I first heard his voice. I text Quinn to let her know the deed is done before she starts blowing up my phone.

Me:Ok Q, it’s done. Just got off the phone with Declan. OMG please tell me he’s as hot as he sounds!

Quinn:Haha yeah he really is. Thought you weren’t looking for a relationship though?? :P

Me:I’m not but I can still appreciate a hot guy when I hear one. And hopefully see one. Lol

Quinn:Well then you’ll definitely appreciate Declan. When will you be here? I miss your face.

Me:Lol well since things seem to be really coming together I’ve decided to just move there instead of visiting in 2 weeks. I already told Declan and I’m gonna meet him when we get there and check out the house. It sounds really amazing. I’m so excited.

Quinn:That’s great! Have you told Violet yet?

Me:Yeah she overheard part of our conversation last night so we talked about it a little while she was in the bath.

Quinn:Annnd??

Me:Lol and now she’s awake so I’m gonna go make her breakfast and tell her it’s time to start packing. Ttyl

Quinn:Ok girl call me before you go to bed or you know I’m gonna be blowin up your phone.

Me:Oh trust me I know lol love you

Quinn:Love you too. Give my girl kisses for me.

When I finally make my way out of my room, I find Violet sitting in her spot at the island.

“Mommy, can you make French toast for breakfast today?”

“Of course, I can. You know French toast is my favorite. You wanna get out the ingredients?” It’s really a rhetorical question. Of course, she does. And the ingredients come flying out of the fridge before I even finish asking.

Once everything is laid out on the counter, I get to work mixing up the eggs. As I cook, I tell Violet all about the move and the house we’re going to look at when we get there. She was already excited to visit Aunt Quinn, but now that we’re moving instead of visiting, she’s ecstatic. I tell her that means we need to start packing, and she jumps up and down.

“Can we go get some boxes after breakfast so we can pack, Mommy?”

“That’s a great idea, sweetie. Let’s finish up and clean our dishes, then we can get dressed and go. Okay?”

“Okay, Mommy!”

She finishes first, so she sends her dishes to the sink and uses her magic to wash them while she runs off to get dressed. She’s definitely not shy about using her magic anymore. That makes me smile. I was the same way when I was her age, using my magic anytime I could.

I finish my breakfast and send my dishes to wash as Violet did, then rush to get dressed before someone gets impatient. When I’m ready, I walk into the living room to find Violet with her shoes on, all ready to go.

“Wow, Violet, you got ready so fast! You must really be excited about this move, huh?”

“Yup! If we get all packed and ready to go, can we leave sooner, Mommy?”

Well, I guess excited is an understatement. “We’ll have to wait and see, sweetie. We’ve got so much stuff we’re going to have to hire movers to move everything for us. Let’s go see when they are available, okay?”

“Okay, Mommy!”

* * *

When we getto the moving company, I’m surprised to learn they have several openings. The day I had planned is available, or we might even be able to move sooner if we get everything packed early. We’re told to call and check if we decide to leave sooner than planned. Violet is so excited to start packing that we quickly get some boxes, sign the moving agreement, and head home.

Once we get home, we get all the boxes in the house and crash on the couch. My daughter and I are both very organized people, so we get out a notebook and make a list of everything we need to do before the move.
