As I wait for a reply, I think about what this move really means for me. I haven’t been home in years. My family and Quinn always came to visit us. Now that Harris is gone, I’m free to see the guys again. As excited as I am to be going home and even to see them again, I can’t help but be nervous. I mean, the five of us were almost closer than Quinn and I were. To think I let Harris convince me to stop talking to them... I just don’t know that they’ll even want to see me with how awful I treated them. I was supposed to come back after college, and we’d all still be friends. My phone finally dings, and I pick it up.

Quinn:OMG that’s great! Only 2 more days and a wake up. I can’t wait.

Me:You and me both sister.

Something clicks in my head and I think back over everything I was thinking about before Quinn texted me. A magical bakery... OH MY GOD! Is it Hudson’s bakery? Did he really open one? Even after I never came back to open one with him? Should I ask Quinn? I mean, she’s never told me before, but we kinda had an unspoken agreement not to talk about the guys. It was just easier for me. And yes, I know I totally took the easy way out with that, but I didn’t wanna rock the boat with Harris, and it hurt to think about the guys moving on and living their lives without me. I know if I just straight up ask, Quinn will tell me. But do I really want to know right now? Maybe I should just wait until I get there to find out.

Quinn:So are you really ready? You're all packed already and everything? That was fast.

Me:Yea I guess with Violet helping and both of us using our magic, it really didn’t take any time at all. All that’s left is the kitchen and our bedding. We’ll probably pack up the kitchen tonight after dinner then just get takeout this weekend so everything is ready for the movers on Monday.

Quinn:Sounds like a good idea. I’m sure Bug would love some pizza lol

Me:Man Q she is just so freaking excited. She can’t honestly wait to get there. I have never seen her this excited before.

Quinn:That’s awesome Rowe. I’m tellin you this move is going to be good for both of you. I can feel it.

Me:Me too Q. I'm just... I’m really nervous about seeing the guys again. I mean I pretty much just dropped them because Harris told me to. After everything we’d been through together I owed them more than that. And now I’m just gonna show up out of the blue. What if they hate me Q? What if they don’t want anything to do with me?

Quinn:Girl trust me that is not gonna happen. I’m sure they’ll understand. Just be honest and TALK TO THEM. Don't try to hide from them ok? Please promise me you’ll actually see them and talk this out when you get here.

I take a deep breath and let it out. She’s right, I need to talk to them all. Besides Quinn, those boys were my whole world before I met Harris and had Violet. I owe them a face-to-face explanation. It may not work out how I hope it will, but I have to at least try.

Me:Yeah, Q I will. I miss them so much. I hope they understand and will be my friends again.

Quinn:I’m sure they will sweets. Just pull on your big girl panties (the cute lacy ones ; ) ) and go talk to them. I’ll even watch miss thang while you do.

Me:Thanks Q. You’re the best.

Quinn:And don’t you ever forget it.

Quinn:Don’t think I didn’t notice you didn’t refute wearing the lacy panties when you see them. Lol

Me:Omg Quinn! Just stop. I’ll be happy if they still wanna be friends with me after the shit I pulled ok. Let’s just start small. I’ve been gone for 10 years Q. Baby steps.

Quinn:Yeah yeah. Alright I g2g. See you soon! Call me if you need me. Love ya

Me:Love you too.

“Alright, Bug, since the movers will be here Monday, how about we cook dinner tonight and have pizza tomorrow. Sound good?”

“Okay, Mommy! What’s for dinner tonight?”

“Hmmm, I don’t know, sweetie, let’s go check the fridge and see what we have.”

We go to the kitchen and see what we can come up with for dinner. Violet sees the hamburger meat in the fridge and asks if we can have tater-tot casserole. I check the freezer to find the tater-tots and then look in the fridge again to make sure we have cheese and sour cream.

“Looks like we have everything. Why don’t you get the cream of mushroom soup out of the pantry?”

“Okay!”

I fry up the hamburger while Violet gets out the rest of the ingredients because apparently my brain isn’t working tonight, and I didn’t think to get them out when I checked to make sure we had them. Once the hamburger is done, I add in the soup and sour cream. Then I pour the meat mixture into the glass baking dish. After Violet washes her hands, I let her cover the meat with the tater-tots then the cheese.

“Alright, sweetie, good job! Now let Mommy put it in the oven. You can go watch tv while it cooks, okay?”

“Okay, Mommy! Did you see I made it extra cheesy?”

“Oh, I sure did. It’s gonna be so good.”
