“I’ll do it.I’ll call youby your first name.”
“I strongly advise you torefrain.”
He stood and pulled someshorts on and headed out to the main room. The place was a mess andmost of the orgy had passed out or were still going strong.Hebypassed several bodies on his way to the bar to graba beerfrom the cooler.
“Let me guess, Layla is inyour bed basking in the afterglow of a wonderful fuckingorgasm.”
Silver popped the top off the beer andturned, facing Torque.Instead of replying, he lifted the beer tohis lips and took a drag.
“Tell her I want to seeher.”
Silver lowered the beer.“I’m pretty surethat shit can wait until tomorrow.”
Father or not, she’d had a rough day.Hewasn’t entirely sure of her relationship with Torque.Torque caredfor her but she never really said anything to him about herfather.
“You’re protective of mydaughter now?”Torque asked. He was a man that demanded respect. Many people feared him and few ever went against himboldly.
“I’ve very protective ofyour daughter.”He lifted his beer again.“Take up the shit withher tomorrow.”
He narrowed his eyes at him.“Do you loveher?”
He didn’t want to answer that question.Outof the corner of his eye, he spotted Layla entering the room.Shestopped in her tracks.Smiling, he welcomed the distraction.Herhair was a mess and she’d pulled on those damn short shorts withthe oversize shirt. It only made him focus on her long legs and howmuch he really wanted them wrapped around him.
“Dad?”She glanced fromTorque to Silver.“What are you doing here?”
Chapter Nine
Layla hadn’t seen her father in nearly sixyears. He had attended her high school graduation when her motherdied only two months prior. She didn’t have the greatestrelationship with him, but he was always there when she needed him.He always seemed to care.
She walked up to him and hugged him.“Whatare you doing here?I thought you were locked up.”
He smiled and held her to him.“I got out ongood behavior. The parole board thought I was better on the outsidethan the inside.”
She glanced up at him.“I seriously doubtthat.”
He chuckled and kissed herforehead.Layla pulled away from him and glanced atSilver, who didn’t look too happy.
“Did I interruptsomething?”She took a seat on the barstool and reached forSilver’s beer.“Tyke was trying to get out of talking tome, but he looks to be in the same amount of pain chatting withyou.”
She met his eyes and he tried to lookintimidating. It didn’t work.
“Tyke?”Torque stared ather like she’d lost her mind.He turned toward Silver.“You let hercall you Tyke?”
He gripped the edge of the bar, staring ather.“No.”
He said it through clenched teeth and shegiggled, taking a sip of the beer. She’d pay for that one.Especially since she’d said it in front of her father. She didn’tcare. The look on his face was well worth it.Layla turned to herfather.
“What are you two talkingabout?Me?”
“Yeah.”Torque sat besideher.“I want to know why you’re fucking thisdicksucker.”
Layla sipped his beer.“Don’t call him that. He’s too cute to be a dicksucker.”
Her father stared at herand she shrugged.Silver fidgeted, seemingly uncomfortable withtheir conversation.Maybe next time he’ll stay in the damn room andhave a conversation with her instead of running away from her toengage in an even more uncomfortable situation. The longer hestared ather, the more she realized that she’d pay for that.Later when they were alone, he’d remind her of it and paddle herass. Her pussy tingled at the thought of it.
Torque ran a hand over his face.“Layla,I’ve tried to protect you from this lifestyle for twenty-fivefucking years. When you need money, you know you could have come tome. You didn’t have to go to him to help you.Hell, you could havemoved in my house.Take your sisters and raise them. You know Iwould have done that for you.”
She licked her lips.“I didn’t know that, but even if I did, it is only a temporary fix.”
