“I almost didn’t recognizeyou without the beard and the long hair.”

He smiled.“I’m glad you figured itout.”

She climbed on behind him and gripped hisleather cut.He started the beast and revved it a bit beforepulling out toward the exit. She’d never been a hugemotorcycle-loving girl, but something about being on the back ofSilver’s bike with the wind blowing in her hair changed hermind.

It didn’t take long to get to the clubhouseand there was a party in full swing when they arrived. He parkedhis bike in his spot and got off.He held out his hand for her andshe took it, letting him help her off the bike. They walked intogether and several women greeted him with smiles.Layla waitedwhile he hugged them and let them feel him up, squeezing his asslike they had every right to.One reached for his crotch andwhispered something in his ear.

He laughed and tapped her nose beforewithdrawing from her.“Come on.”

Layla followed him to the apartment and sather stuff next to the door. Her mood went from bad to sour and shedidn’t really have any right. She wasn’t anything to him but a fuckbuddy.

She sat on the bed to take off her shoeswhile he shrugged out of his cut.“Have you talked to my dad?”

“Yep.”

“What did hesay?”

Silver glanced over at her.“What did he sayabout us?”

“Yeah.That’s what I’masking.”

He fisted his shirt and pulled it over hishead.“He didn’t like it.”

She rolled her eyes.He didn’t seem toointerested in talking so she went to the bathroom to take amuch-needed shower after sweating all day.Standing under tepidwater, she let it fall over her body.

Silver was a mysterious man.He didn’t talkmuch and she wasn’t sure why.He was plenty interesting.Laylawashed the sweat from her body and then lathered her hair.Thinkingabout their deal, she should have worked in a talking clause.Justgetting him to kiss her was work and she saw his reluctance.

When she’d finished showering, she turnedthe water off and stepped out, stopping when she saw him fillingthe doorway. She swallowed, taking in his face.Eyebrows werefurrowed. He stared at her like he’d caught her doing something sheshouldn’t have been doing. She didn’t know how long he’d beenstanding there, but she assumed long enough.

“What?”She reached forthe towel and patted her face dry.

“What the hell makes youthink you can just walk away from me when I’m talking toyou?”

She frowned.“When were you talking? You’vebarely said a full sentence to me since you picked me up tonight.Hell, you’ve barely said a full sentence to me since this wholefucking thing started between us.”

She was in a pissy moodand none of it really had anything to do with him.She couldn’t askhim to be her boyfriend and cuddle with her when she’d had a badday.Last night she allowed sex to take her mind off herlife, but everything going on still hung in the balance afterward. She still felt like a shitty person for not being able to take careof her family.

Nothing would really take that away.

“Just leave me alone.”Shetucked the towel around her breasts and took a step toward him.Heheld out his arm blocking her.

“What’s with theattitude?”

“Fuck you.”

He grabbed her and pushed her arms behindher back as he pressed her up against the wall, effectivelydisabling her from moving.Layla swallowed hard, staring into hiseyes.

“Let me go.”Layla jerkedher arm and he pressed her harder.Pain took over her shoulder andwrist, the two pressure points of his hold.

“I asked you a questionand I expect an answer.”

“Fuck off.That’s myanswer.”

He grunted and lifted herover his shoulder with one hand around her thighs and the otherkeeping her wrists locked in place. He sat down on the bed anddraped her body over his lap.She fought him, jerking like a fishout ofwater. He tugged her towel off andsmacked her ass with his hand.Hard.

He didn’t give her timefor protesting. His hand came downonher ass hard enough to makeher clench her cheeks. She gasped with the force of it, each slapnearly taking her breath. When her ass was warm and sensitive, hetugged her up to look at her.

“I want an answer or we’regoing to do this all night.”
