"Yep! We've been planning it for the last two years! Since we have off for Labor Day on Monday, we're going to have a big bonfire Sunday night with music and food and dancing."
"Hopefully, the people we invited actually come," Yolanda murmured.
"Who did you invite?" I tilted my head, hoping they'd ask me, but not wanting to seem like I wasaskingthem to ask me.
"Archer and Wayne, who I'm sure you know," Bram said, "and their new friend, Thoreau Jones. Beta Emerson's brother. Do you know him?"
"Oh, yes," I assured him with an eye roll. "Very well."
"Good! And Peri, of course, which means Beta Ty will most likely come. The Hall twins. I'm not sure if you know them or not." Bram paused, and I shook my head. "They've been my friends for a long time. I hope you'll like them. Alpha Mason works with them a lot. Oh, and Sophia's older brother, Gamma Adam, and Grey Meyers, who's Beta Crew's younger brother."
"I know both of them," I said with a smile.
"And Emmeline Graves. She's Gamma Rio's mate."
"I met her this morning when we first got here. Peri introduced us."
"Good!" Bram clapped his hands. "She's going to need us to support her once the humans here realize she's preggers. They're going to mess with her so bad—"
"Ha!" Sophia interrupted him with a crack of laughter. "If anyone tries to mess with that girl, they'll be eating their own teeth. She's not afraid to high-fiveanyone. In the face. With a chair."
Yolanda and I giggled.
"I invited Grace Benson this morning," Bram continued, "so Gamma Landry will probably come with her. Oh, andof course, we want you there, luna!"
"Yay! I'd love to come! I've never been to a bonfire before! Is it okay if I bring my mates along?"
"Wow." Yolanda's black eyes widened. "The alphas? We'd be honored, but they probably won't want to."
"Of course they will!" I laughed. "Even without me, at least one of them would have come if you asked them. They care for all their pack members, and Wyatt remembers you tutoring him last year in math, Yola."
"That was my duty to my alpha. I was happy to help." She lowered her eyes shyly and played with her fingers.
"And the last two guests we invited are Atticus Bel Aire and Ayla Harrington," Sophia said. "She's Beta Tristan's little sister, in case you didn't know, luna."
"No, I didn't. I haven't met her yet, but is Atticus related to Angel Bel Aire?"
"That's his mom. Do you know her?"
"Yep!" I bounced in my seat a little. "Ash took me to their horse farm on a date, and Angel gave us lessons, then took us on a trail ride."
"Oh, that's so romantic!" Yolanda sighed with a dreamy expression. "What other dates have they taken you on? Share the details, luna!"
"Um, no," I said slowly with a heavy blush. "No details, but I don't mind telling you where we've gone for our dates."
"Hippo! Move!" boomed a rough voice from behind Yolanda, making her and I both jump a little. "You're in our way!"
"Sorry, Bridger, Elijah," she whispered as she dropped her chin to her chest and bit her bottom lip.
"Did we give you permission to use our names, you disgusting whale? No, I think not. Now move your fat ass!" a second boy grumbled.
Wincing and blinking back tears Yolanda scurried to stand next to Sophia on my far side. Now I could see two male shifters, one with white-blond hair and the other with ink-black, standing in the aisle. They looked a little younger than us, and neither looked happy to be there.
Bridger Donahue and Elijah Ford, Sophia linked me.They'll respectyoubecause you're luna, but they make our lives miserable.
Elijah looks a lot like Gamma Reuben,I pointed out as I studied them.
He's his younger brother. Elijah was born a rebel, I guess. I don't know any reason why he acts the way he does. He has a kind mom and a loving dad and an older brother who spends lots of time with him. He's always been taken care of, and his parents give him anything he asks for.
