"They have our mate in them, too," Garnet reminded them.

"Mate, what are their names?" Sid asked.

"Ambrose Rigel, Bastian Antares, and Caspian Polaris."

"Ambrose, Bastian, and Caspian," Garnet repeated, nodding his approval. "We can call Caspian Cas."

"And Bastian is going to be Bash!" Topaz bubbled.

"What about Ambrose?" Granite frowned. "That name hard to say."

"Amby or Brose or Brosy," Garnet suggested with a shrug. "Or even Ammy or Rose—"

"Amby!" Topaz and Granite squealed, cutting him off.

"Well, I guess that's decided," I chuckled.

"They names go A-B-C!" Sid giggled, coming out of his enthralled trance. "Funny funny, but so cute!"

"Yes, but you know, we're halfway to six already," I teased him.

His eyes unfocused for a minute and I heard him whispering numbers to Ash, then he grinned widely at me.

"But only a quarter of the way to twelve!" he hooted and laid one big palm on Caspian's small head, completely covering it.

"Can we hold them now?" Topaz asked, looking like he was about to fly apart at the seams with excitement.

"Yes, but take your shirts off," I directed. "Skin to skin contact is the best way to bond with newborns."

"You just miss seeing these hard bodies," Garnet teased.

"You don't even know how much!" I heaved a heavy sigh. It seemed like forever ago that I last ran my hands all over those abs and pecs and had them inside me—

"Is that why titties out?" Granite interrupted my thoughts. "Wy says they full of milk for pups, but they no drink it. I have it? I thirsty—"

Garnet whisper-hissed. "No, you can't have it! It's only ever for the pups!"

"Titty milk only for pups?" He pouted and tilted his head. "But—"

"For the love of the moon!" Garnet put his hand over Granite's mouth. "That is their only food for the next several months! Now, do you want to hold our pups or not?"

"Merf," was his muffled reply and Garnet lifted his hand. "Yes."

"I'll try breastfeeding them later, Granite," I told him patiently, "but they're content and sleepy right now, so it's a good time for you to hold them."

Sid didn't hesitate and made grabby hands for one. We all knew he wasn't going to be able to wait, and it was a good thing we had three! I could already foresee unending Rock-Paper-Scissors tournaments for who got to hold a baby.

Even though I’d seen him hold dozens of kids before, I watched Sid to make sure he knew what he was doing with a newborn, but he had it under control. He held little Ambrose snug and sound in the center of his broad chest and dropped dozens of kisses on the pup's tuft of black hair.

"Aw! He smells so good! And he's so squishy and soft! I don't ever want him to grow up. I want him to stay just like this forever."

I guided Topaz through the process of picking Bastian up, then Garnet with Caspian, and Jayden helped me adjust my gown again. If I left my chest bare any longer, I couldn't hold some of my mates responsible for their actions.

"Sorry, Granite, ran out of pups," I teased him as he stood next to my bed.

"It okay. I wait my turn like a good boy."

"Aw. That's so nice of you, sweetpea," I praised him, and he beamed at me.
