"Eating youout," he corrected, then kissed me again. "And yes, although the delicious taste of you alone would have done it."

"Eww!" My face screwed up in disgust. "You didn't reallyeatthat stuff, did you?"

He exploded with laughter, as did the others. Cole laughed so hard that he bent double and dug his face into my belly.

I didn't think it was funny, and I didn't understand what they were laughing about, but joy rose inside me and brought a smile to my lips.

Not even two weeks ago, I was completely alone and resigned to a slow and pain-filled death. Now here I was, surrounded by laughter and safe with my mates, who loved and cherished me above all things.

Thank you, Moon Goddess. I'll never doubt you again. I will treasure every day with these boys and take care of their precious hearts with all of my strength.

"I love you, Posy," Cole said around the last of his snickers. "Good night."

"I love you, too, Cole. Good night."

He kissed me, then turned me toward Mason. As had become our nightly routine, I was passed around to all of my mates for kisses and good nights and I love yous.

"Sweet dreams, Posy. I love you." Mason kissed my lips, then my mate mark.

"I love you, Mason. Good night."

He handed me over to Wyatt and Ash. As they snuggled me between them, they took turns kissing me and whispering how much they loved me.

"Good night, waffle. Good night, my fifth star. I love you."

Finally, I ended up back where I started.

"Sleep well, baby. I love you." Jayden bumped my nose with his, then kissed me.

"I love you, my dragon." Smiling, I curled up against him and laid my head on his shoulder. "Good night."

"Would you like a song?"

"Yes, please, if you don't mind."

"As you wish, sweetness."

And I fell asleep listening to him sing about kissing under the light of a thousand stars.

Fighting the urge to fidget, I made myself stand still as I waited for my mate to introduce himself.

He's so pretty!Cove squealed.

Hewaspretty, especially his eyes. They were so pretty, in fact, that they made my heart flutter every time I looked into them.

But no wolf?Cove asked.

Nope, no wolf.Maybe he's part of Ariel's flock.

I didn't know who else he could be. The majority of the Tall Pines pack was in a secure area, and the rest of them were in our cells.

Birdie? I don't smell birdie.

Yeah, I know,I said.Curious.
