"Ouch!" I complained with a scowl. "Stop that. You're going to break my ribs!"

His arms relaxed, and he bent his head to kiss my side.

Confused by his behavior, I linked Mase and Jay and told them what was going on.

Wait. Did either of you—

"Sorry, Coley," Wyatt said before Mase could finish.

As soon as he called me that, we all knew.

Oh, Goddess, I groaned. He's gone wolfy.

Both babies out in one night. What are the odds?Jay sighed.

At least Sid hasn't been disturbed, Mase said groggily. One at a time is manageable—

A quiet whine interrupted him, and Sid began to flap one hand around as he unconsciously tried to find the rest of his brothers.

Without a word, Jay hauled himself up on the bed and slid in next to Sid. It was a tight fit, but if he didn't have someone on either side, Sid would look for us all night.

"I'll take Granite," Mase sighed. "You deal with Sid."

"You're exhausted. Jay and I can handle this," I tried to tell him.

He ignored me as he walked around to my side of the bed.

"Dude, really," I looked up at him, "we can—"

"Let me have my baby brother, Cole!"he growled.

Rolling my eyes, I got out of bed so he could reach Granite.

"Yes, Papa Bear," I smirked and ignored his glare.

I picked Granite up like a toddler, and he immediately wrapped his arms around my neck and his legs around my waist.

"Shh," I murmured and laid my cheek on his fluffy blond head. "Everything's going to be okay, Gran."

"You just wanthimbecause you can carry Wyatt's body around like that, but not Ash's gargantuan self," Cole teased with a grin.

"I couldabsolutelycarry Ash if I wanted to," I grunted, "but Sid only needs babying and comfort. Granite needs help."

"I know that, Mase," he said in a soothing tone. "Humor wasn't a good idea. Sorry."

I waved off his apology and waited until it looked like they had Sid calmed down. Then I left the bedroom and carried Granite to the oversized rocker-recliner in the living room.

Sinking down in the soft cushions, I cuddled him in my lap and slowly rocked us back and forth. Dropping kisses on top of his head, I waited until I felt his breathing and heartbeat even out.

"What's wrong, Gran?" I whispered.

"Wyatt's heart hurts. It hurtsso bad, Masey."

Taking a deep breath, I let it out slowly, upset at myself for missing the signs.
