"Luna?" Ty sat down on her other side. "Here's Mr. Nibbles."

He held it out to her, and she took it with a shy thank you, then crammed her face into the doll before snuggling against me again.

Ty, I'm going to link the alphas and let them know she's okay before they have an aneurysm.

Good idea. How about I make some hot chocolate? That might help her settle and sleep again.

"Luna?" I asked. "Would you like some hot chocolate?"

"Yes, please." Her voice was muffled by Mr. Nibbles, and Ty and I smiled at each other.

After he left again, I opened the link with the alphas and found a storm of anxiety, sorrow, and rage.

She's okay,I assured them. She's tucked up with her bunny doll. Tyler is making some hot chocolate for her right now.

I looked down and sent the image of her resting against my side with her arms wrapped around Mr. Nibbles.

It's her first nightmare since we found her,and we're not there to help her through it!Alpha Wyatt roared.

The next few words he ripped out probably turned the air blue around him.

I understand your feelings, alpha,I said,but at least you know she's in good hands. We got her. Until you get home, you can trust that we got her.

Of course, alpha. We all love our little luna bunny.

The alphas wanted to see her, so I just stared at her and let them watch her through my eyes. When she raised her wet, red face and looked at me, I could tell she knew I was linking, and was quick enough to know with who.

"I'm sorry for making you worry," she whispered. "I'm all right now. Em and Ty are with me, and Mr. Nibbles is making me feel better."

She picked up the bunny's arm and made it wave at them - and my heart almost stopped from an overload of cuteness. Then the alphas all started talking at once, wanting to know why she wouldn't link with them. I winced over the volume in my head and told them to pipe down.

If you're this loud when - if - she opens her link, you'll scare her!I yelled at them.

Yeah, that's right. The beta yelled at his alphas. But my luna will always take priority over anyone or anything else.

"Luna bunny, could you link with them? They're giving me a headache."

"Oh, yeah. I forgot I could do that now!" Her dimpled smile was a thing of beauty. "Thanks, Em."

I closed my link with them as she opened hers, and we sat together quietly as she talked with her mates. When Ty came into the room with a tray of mugs and set it on the nightstand, she sat up and away from me, although she still clutched Mr. Nibbles in one arm.

"Okay, I told them goodnight and closed the link," she said. "I think they're calm enough to function now."

"And are you?" I asked.

"I am. Thank you both so much for being here with me."

"Wouldn't want to be anywhere else, luna," Ty said as he handed her a mug. "My mom used to make it this way. I hope you like it."

"Yeah?" Her face lit up. "Mine, too."

I looked at the mug he gave me and saw dollops of whipped cream, which I never tried.

"I usually make it with marshmallows. Have you had that before?" I asked, and they both shook their heads. "We can try that sometime if you want."

"Sounds good," said luna while Ty nodded.
