"You, too. Can I assume I'm finally going to meet the famous alphas of Five Fangs?"
"Yes. And later, their new luna."
"Oh, I already mether."
His smirk set me off. What did he mean by that? Was he implying something? I knew nothing had happened because neither Posy nor the betas had linked us, but I didn't like the way he said that or his little twisted smile.
Topaz growled in concert with my thoughts, and Angelo swung his head in my direction. Whatever he saw in Topaz's eyes made him raise both hands with his palms forward.
"You're lucky to be gifted with such a smart, beautiful mate."
His words and sincerity calmed me, but Paz didn't want him talking about Posy at all, even if he'd said something nice.
I don't like that he was near our mate, either, Topaz scowled.
I know, Paz, but what's done is done. Jeez, you're a jealous thing.
Of anyone other than our brothers? Yes! Yes, I am!he snarled, which made me roll my eyes.
Ash came back and passed out clothes. Thankfully, he gave each of us the right sizes. He, Wyatt, and Jay could interchange easily, so long as he didn't mind the legs being too short, but Mase and I could only swap with each other, and even his pants were tight on me. One time, I had to wear Jay's, and I'd split the whole backside out with the first step.
After he shifted and tugged on his shorts, Mase stepped up to Angelo and held out his hand.
"We know we're lucky. I'm Mason Price."
"Angelo del Vecchio. Good to meet you." He shook Mase's hand. "You've built quite a reputation in the short time you've been alpha."
"Thank you. These are my brothers. Ash, Cole, and Wyatt, and that's Jay's wolf, Quartz. Watch your step around him until Jay has the reins again."
None of us was surprised that Quartz hadn't shifted; he wouldn't until he was sure the king was out of danger.
"So you're Quartz." Angelo gave him a sharp nod. "I've been hearing aboutyoufor years now. Ever since you ripped a shifter into itty bitty pieces. Your human must have been what? Twelve? Maybe thirteen? Heard the bastard murdered his mate and beat his pup. "
He stared into Quartz's eyes, and neither blinked.
"I'll tell you a secret," Angelo stage-whispered. "I'd have done the same thing."
Quartz stared at him for a moment longer, then he snorted and handed control back to Jay.

Crew didn't give up on the video games.
After Zayne and Zayden left with Ariel's flock, he bustled me into the game room, and everyone else trooped along for something to do.
"When you went into the kitchen earlier, Matthew's real reason for going along was to give you a pep talk," Crew said.
"Really?" I looked over at Matthew with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah. Uneducated is not the same as dumb." Matthew's smile reached his blue eyes for the first time since I'd met him. "You're notdumb, luna. You just never learned how to do some things, and that's easy to fix."
"Thanks, Matthew."
"Just the truth." He shrugged. "And Mario Kart was probably not the best game to start with. Let's try Minecraft instead. It can be as easy or difficult as you want, and you can learn the controller while building."
Surprisingly, I loved it. Everyone joined in and we created for hours. Lilah and I made pretty flower beds around the house the boys were building. Then Crew, Tristan, Matthew, and Luke played on a different mode for a bit to show Lilah and me the survival side of the game. I had a lot of fun and got to know more about everyone, especially my three betas.
