Maybe. Will you do it? Please, please, please?
What do we get if we play along?Cole asked with a little smirk.
Kisses if you do, and no kisses if you don't.
We'll do it,they chorused.
"Em is being mean," I said out loud and sniffed again. "He's making fun of me."
"Emerson," Wyatt and Cole said through their teeth, and a low growl rumbled from Ash's chest.
Oh, that's perfect, I praised them.Thank you!
Looking up through my eyelashes, I saw three pairs of wolf-lit eyes glaring at Emerson. With a tiny smirk, I looked over my shoulder at the pure shock in his dark eyes. After a few seconds, he pulled himself together and slowly shook his head.
"You are one evil bunny, luna."
"Don't call our girl evil." Jayden breezed into the room. "She's smart enough to trick youandplay my brothers. That's genius, not evil."
Sticking my tongue out at Emerson, I totally hopped like a bunny over to Jayden and jumped into his arms.

I couldn't count how many times I sat behind a desk and simply stared at my victim in utter silence.
A simple technique, but oh so effective.
I let Matthew stew for three whole minutes before I unclasped my hands and drummed my fingers on the desktop twice.
"Why are we having the same conversation for a second time?" I asked in a calm, quiet voice.
"Alpha—"
"I apologize." I raised one hand, and Matthew flinched. "By using the word 'conversation' and phrasing it as a question, I led you to believe I wanted you to speak. My bad. Allow me to correct myself. I've talked to you about this same issue before. Just days ago, in fact."
Matthew tilted his head to bare his neck, and it was only then I realized Garnet had underscored my voice.
Down,I commanded.
He disregarded your warning.
I am aware.
Since a hard warning didn't work, which was my father's approach, I'd try a soft talk, which was Dad's approach.
"Look, Matthew, I know Ev's death messed you up. I get it. I do. But Tyler had nothing to do with it. He was not involved in any way. Why do you keep taking your grief and anger out on him?"
Matthew rolled his shoulders, but didn't reply.
"He took the vacant beta position," I said. "He didn't take Ev's place. Stop making him pay for crimes he didn't commit. He's a good kid. If you take time to get to know him, you might find you actually like him."
That's the whole problem, Garnet pointed out.Matthew doesn't want to open himself up for any more pain, and Tyler is too easy to like.
I'm aware,I repeated.
"Your luna is starting to look at him as a little brother." I leaned back and folded my arms over my chest. "Every cruel word you say to him, each time you mock him, it hurts her, and I will not tolerate that any more than I'll tolerate your defiance and disrespect. Do you understand?"
