Finally, we came, our mouths locking together, tongues hungry and desperate for another taste.
“Holy hell, baby. I’m ruined now. Only you, forever,” he promised again. I loved hearing how much he needed me, wanted me. It was the same on my end.
I knew I could spend everyday with this pack and it would never be enough. It wasn’t just their bodies I craved, or their scents, but them as a whole. I loved their contrasting personalities and the way they brought out the best in each other, and me.
We were perfect, and nothing was going to change that.
The scent in the shop was potent. So much so that I turned right around and held up a hand for the ranch hands to stop.
When Mathias texted she was in heat and warning us to get things ready, we’d recruited the others to help gather supplies. The thought of her riding it out on the ranch had my skin crawling.
I wanted isolation. Just us and our omega soaking in a bliss-filled week of sex and scenting.
“Hold up. Just stack it outside. We’ll take it in,” I growled, glaring at the others in case anyone wanted to argue.
They all took a healthy step back and started unloading the ranch pickup into a stack by the garage doors, not even looking me or Ash in the eyes.
It was a wise move.
“We’ve got the ranch. Don’t worry, boss,” Steve, one of my best workers promised. I knew it was a well-oiled machine by now. I had men I knew I could rely on and that took some of the stress out of the situation.
Ash’s phone dinged and he pulled it out, letting out a breath of relief.
“Supplies are being delivered right about now,” he said. “With all this, she should have a solid nest here, too. Not as nice as the one at home, but perfect for an impromptu heat.”
“Did you take care of the client list?” I asked, not wanting anyone to show up here. In fact, I had half a mind to block off the driveways in and out to be fucking safe.
“Everyone’s been emailed and texted,” he said, glancing at his phone. “I’ve heard from three out of four. Everyone gets it and if they want our work, they have to.”
He shrugged, completely unbothered by pissing off clients. Good. She deserved alphas who weren’t afraid to drop everything to be with her.
“We’re out,” Steve called, giving a whistle to the others as everyone climbed in the trusty pickup and hurried out of the drive, passing a delivery truck on their way.
The truck pulled in and a team of four betas popped out. “We’ve got an emergency heat delivery here. The deluxe package?”
Ash nodded, stepping forward to sign the delivery paperwork before the other two were lifting the back gate of the truck, revealing a huge mattress, and more boxes and bags than should be possible.
“You just need to message after the heat is done, for us to come pick up all the extra packaging so you don’t have to worry about it,” the driver reassured us as they got to work.
Thankfully, they just added their supplies to the same spot the hands did, the pile now a small mountain of everything we could possibly need.
Ash had disappeared inside, stepping back out again to take a breath of fresh air, his voice full of gravel when he gave me an update.
“They’re in the shower and from the sound of it, will be in there a while. Brace yourself. Now that they left Mathias’s office, it’s fucking potent. I’m going to have a fucking boner for hours.”
“Don’t act like you won’t be knotted deep in our omega at the first opportunity,” I snorted. “Now keep your dick in your pants and get to work.”
It took us an hour… a long, torturous hour, to get the room set up and our food and drinks in the break room. Thank fuck we decided to put in a full bathroom here and a kitchen, meaning it was the perfect heat den.
Even if not ideal.
The shower still wasn’t off and I needed to do something, so I ran downstairs to grab the yellow caution tape we had leftover from getting the driveway done, and started blocking off the exits.
I wanted no one else near our girl when she smelled this fucking good. I found some old fence stakes in the back of my truck from fixing one at the ranch last week, using them to stake it off and drape the yellow plastic strips from one to the other.
When I walked back inside, Ash was waiting, an amused look on his face.
“A bit overkill, don’t you think?” he teased, but it was cut off as a sharp whine cut through the building.
