The woman’s eyes widen. ‘Of course not, love.’ She looks at him, then at Holloway, and then smiles. ‘I’d have said, wouldn’t I?’
Out on the street Holloway heaves a theatrical sigh. ‘What a waste of fucking time.’
‘Never mind,’ says Bell chirpily. ‘At least there were biscuits.’
Holloway grits his teeth. ‘And only another thirty-five of the fuckers to go.’

Dear DS Everett,
I just came off the phone with Citibank, and you are correct: None of the funds transferred in from Dry Riser Films Inc. on 06/15 remain in Ms Tierney’s account. As at that date the balance stood at $62,345.77. Between 06/26 and 07/07 there were seven withdrawals of amounts between $8,000 and $9,500, leaving a remaining balance of $609.77 as at now.
The withdrawals took place at seven different main street check cashing outlets, in four cities, none were in round amounts, and all were comfortably below the $10,000 limit which would have required the teller to raise a CTR (not sure if you’re familiar but that’s a Currency Transaction Report) to FinCEN (the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). The transactions would have required the customer to present a valid ID (driver’s license, passport, Military ID, etc).
I’ve put together a list of the cities/dates below. We have requested security footage from the institutions in question and I’ll forward that to you as it gets in.
Best,
Holden
