“Seriously, Rain?”

I laugh, my face buried in my pillow.

He chuckles, too, and rests his hand on my butt when his phone chimes with a message.

I flick my gaze to him and watch him type a reply.

“Who was that?” I ask.

“Ed.”

He sets his phone on the nightstand before rolling to face me.

Our eyes lock.

“Lex made fun of me,” I say.

A grin lines his lips.

“Are you surprised?”

“No. He thinks I’m getting old.”

“You’re not getting old.”

“And forgetful,” I add.

“That’s a different story,” he says, pushing a smile to his lips while looping his arm around my waist and pulling me into him.

He presses his chest against mine, affecting me immediately.

My heartbeats get in sync with his, helping me to relax.

Slowly running my knee up his thigh, I open my legs for him.

“You forgot how intense it can be...” he says softly, his breath tangled in my hair.

Gently, I kiss his neck.

“That’s exactly why she’s not going to do it,” I say quietly.

“Yes, she will.”

I tip my head back and look at him.

“First, she needs to say yes.”

“Of course,” he says, a mysterious grin curving his lips.

“Stop smiling like that.”

“Why wouldn’t she say yes?” he murmurs teasingly before locking my lips.

I moan, indulging in his kiss.

“Are you set to stir me up with your threesome talk?”

“Yes, I am. I’m not sure it’s working, though.”
