“See you at four.”

Lily hung up and handed the phone back to me.

“I’ll be there with you, don’t worry. Everything is going to be okay, Moose. I promise.”

I nodded, then looked up to see Striker coming in. Lily didn’t see him though as she placed her hand on my chest and looked up at me.

“I’ve some clients to see, but I’ll be at the house when they get there. Do you trust me?”

I nodded and placed my hand over hers.

“I do, princess.”

Striker cleared his throat, and she jumped away from me.

“I’ll see you later.”

Lily practically ran out of the Medical Center as Striker took a seat and motioned for me to follow.

“Brother….”

“I know, Pres. I fucking know.”

He shook his head. “You two need to be careful.”

“I know. Fuck.”

“Have you guys-”

I let my face fall into my hands. “Yup. I fucked up. I really fucked up this time. I knew it was wrong, and she said no-”

Striker stood up and got in my face. “She said fucking no?”

“Not like that! Not like that, Pres. She had said no at first and then the other night we both just... it just happened. Then Nova saw us kissing and made me ask Lily to be my girlfriend…”

I looked up to see Striker laughing.

“Oh god, that’s fucking precious, man.Will you be my girlfriend? Check yes or no?”

“Fuck you, Striker.”

I went to get up when he pushed me back down.

“Relax, Moose. Damn, that’s good, but I gotta ask... Do you care for her? Is this just a fling?”

“Fuck no. She wants to take this leap too. But what if I leap a little too far and end up losing everything? My fucking kids…”

Striker shook his head. “You’re not gonna lose them cause you’re fucking your attorney. Are you happy?”

I nodded.

“Then stop fucking bitching. Keep it under wraps and don’t go around flaunting it. You deserve to be happy too, Moose.”

He patted me on the shoulder and walked away. I sighed and knew he was right. Lily made me so fucking happy. I got up and headed toward my bike in the parking lot. Turning toward downtown, I flew onto Main Street and parked in front of the diner.

I looked into the large windows and could see Sav and Gracie serving a couple some lunch. Opening the door, I popped my head in.

“Hey, girls. Everything good?”
