“Thor? You okay?”

He shook his head, and I turned to the kids. Maddox and Nova grabbed their plates and headed into the playroom as Thor dropped into a chair.

“I’m going to fucking kill him. I don’t care if I go to prison. I just... I have to do it.”

I pushed a glass of water in front of him. “Who, Thor? You need to tell me more.”

“Hayes. He put his hands on Daisy again. She had to go see Doc cause it was so bad this time.”

Moose shook his head. “Shit. This is bad, man. But we can’t go in, guns swinging.”

Thor slammed his hand on the table. “Yes, we can! He’s going to kill her if I don’t kill him first!”

I put my hand over his. “Is Daisy going to the Chief?”

He nodded. “Yeah. She’s staying with Olivia for now cause Hayes keeps showing up at her house.”

Moose nodded. “Good. Chief will need all of this evidence. A while back he mentioned wanting to fire him, just needs a strong case.”I sighed and leaned back in my chair. “I’ll be there with her. We’ll protect her, don’t worry.”

Hawk looked at Thor before standing up. “What’s the deal with you two? Are you fucking her or not?”

Sav gasped. “Hawk!”

He just shrugged. “What? We all want to know…”

Thor just exhaled. “No. It’s complicated. I know she wants this, but she’s too scared of the consequences.”

Hawk snickered. “You could be her dirty little secret. Oh! Or you guys could role play. I bet that could be fun!”

Sav smacked his arm and glared. “Will you stop it? This is serious.”

“Just tryin’ to lighten the mood, baby.”I turned to see Moose and Thor giggling like little girls as well.

“Seriously, you two?”

Thor shrugged, and Moose smiled at me.

“It’s kinda funny, princess…”

Sighing, I turned back to Thor. “But you're not a criminal. So she has no reason to be afraid. Chief can’t do anything unless she’s using her power to hide crimes or help you.”

“But I am a criminal. Come on, Lily. I’m not stupid and I know you aren’t either. We will never happen unless one of us walks away from the very thing we love.”

Sitting back in my chair, I look at the group around me.

“We’re gonna figure this out. First things first, sit and tell Striker everything. He’s your President and needs to know what’s going on. I’ll shoot Daisy a text tonight and make sure I’m with her when she talks to the Chief. Stay the night?”

Thor smiled. “Always. If I leave, I’ll find Hayes and kill him, anyway.”

Hawk pouted. “I was in a murder mood tonight. Come on, mom. Please let us go out and play?”

I laughed as we all sat back down at the table. Maddox and Nova came back out and sat down with us all.

The seven of us finished dinner and tasted Sav’s delicious new cream cheese brownies, cheesecake, and cookies.

Avy fell asleep and Moose carefully carried her up to our bedroom while I got Maddox and Nova ready for bed. Hawk and Sav stayed to say goodnight before walking back over to their house. Once everybody was down for bed, I headed downstairs to the guest room to check on Thor.

I knocked on the open door. “You okay?”
