“And if she’s using it as a cover?”
I shrugged. “Then fine. As long as she keeps that shit away from me and my family, I’m good. Shit, I’m not a fucking saint so I have no room to judge.”
Javier laughed. “Fucking same, homie.”
We walked back inside and sat down next to Maddox, who was still playing the video game. I could hear the women laughing and enjoying themselves as I sat back on the couch.
My life was fucking finally complete, and I was going to enjoy it. I had my kids, my soon to be wife, and a brand new baby on the way. What more could a man want?
Chapter Twenty-Seven
Lily
DelphinaandIquicklycaught up as I introduced her to all the other women. We hadn’t seen each other in years. I grabbed a glass for her and poured a mimosa.
“So other than being the head of one of the most dangerous cartels and starting your own event planning business, what else have you been up to? Take over the world yet?”
Delphina laughed. “That’s next year, doll. This is something I always wanted to do, so I said fuck it and went for it. Who’s gonna stop me?”
“Nobody!”
We laughed together as she opened her bag and laid different books out.
“Exactly. Nobody gets in my way. And look at you, girl. You went from gang bang princess to lawyer and mom with a hot husband…. who just happens to be in a motorcycle club. Always had a soft spot for those bad boys.”
I looked into the living room to see Moose laughing, and turned back to Delphina.
“That I sure do." She laughed and took out a notebook. “Alright, bitch. Let’s get this party started. Where and when do you want to have this wedding?”
“ASAP. And at Lilah and Striker’s ranch. All the weddings have been there.”
Delphina looked to Lilah. “Tell me all about the ranch, girl.”
“We have a barn we use for the indoor part, like dining. Beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Anything you can imagine, we can get to happen.”
Delphina looked at me. “And you said ASAP?”
I nodded. “Yes ma’am. I want to get this done and over with so I can relax before the baby gets here.”
We all laughed as she wrote notes down.
“It’s a challenge, but I never back down. Let’s chat details now. I know you’re like newly engaged, but you gotta have some idea of what you want.”
“Not really. I never thought I was going to get married.”
Delphina barked out a sarcastic laugh. “J was obsessed with you and talked about wifing you up all the damn time.”
“But did he ever do it? Nope.”
Bambi laughed. “Well, shit.”
All I could do was shake my head and laugh along. As we went over details, Bambi started asking more questions.
“You got a man?”
Delphina shook her head. “Nope. Don’t need one either.”
“Cause I got one that would be right up your alley. He’s hot, funny, a sweetheart. I mean I could go on.”
