Moose smiled. “For the right price, I can set you up with one after we bring my kids home.”

“It’s gonna cost you, Javier. My man is setting up his own security company.”

Javier nodded. “Nice fucking job! Well, as soon as we’re done, I’ll hit you up for one. Cost isn’t an issue.”

Moose cleared his throat. “This man moves fast.”

Javier and I both moved to look over Moose’s shoulder.

“I know where he’s going. We have some intel that there’s a drop in San Ysidro and from there they’ll move to Arizona and then south.”

Javier moved toward his guys. “Let’s fucking go! Get your shit and move out!”

Moose closed up his laptop and we rushed back to the SUV. Tio Matias walked with us and got into the third row of the SUV.

Javier’s other guy got in the driver’s seat as he got in the passenger seat. We all flew down the street toward San Ysidro. The sun was setting as we raced down the highway.

We finally arrived as night fell and we all parked down the street. Javier turned around and looked at Moose and I.

“You ready for this?”

We both nodded and the driver slowly moved down the street, closer to the location where Javier thought the drop would be.

We all sat there until an old tan car pulled up to the building. The big roll-up door opened, and I watched as more cars slowly moved in.

Javier rubbed his hands together as we watched Rob get out of the car to pull the kids up.

“Here we fucking go!”

Chapter Twenty-Two

Moose

AssoonasRobdragged my kids out of the car, I saw fucking red. I was about to rip open the car door when Lily placed her hand on my arm.

“Just wait. Wait until they give the code to go. We’re gonna get them, babe.”

I nodded and pulled her into me. Today had been so fucking crazy with all the emotions running all over the place.

The older gentleman, who Lily had called Tio Matius, tapped me on the shoulder from the third row.

“Patience. Javier has a plan. He’s not the wild boy he once was.”

Javier grinned from the front seat. “Thanks, Tio.”

I growled, but listened to the men. I was in their territory and didn’t want to step on any toes. I just wanted to get my fucking kids and get out of here.

Javier rolled down his window and signed something to another car. They signed back and Javier rolled the window up while turning around to us.

“It’s fucking game time,amigos.”

We all grabbed our weapons and filed out of the car, slowly sneaking up onto the building. The side door was opened, and we all ran in, weapons ready to take anybody out.

Lily pushed ahead and ran toward the kids, quickly grabbing them and bringing them back behind the wall of men.

Rob stood there stunned while the older man who was trying to buy my kids got back in his car. Another man popped out of the car and fired a gun. I ran toward Rob and pulled him down to the ground while Javier’s guy took out the bodyguard.

Javier came running over as the old guy tried to put the car in drive and get the fuck out of here. He grabbed the old man and dragged him out of the car while one of his other guys put the car back in park and shut it off.
