When they came around the corner, I kicked the door open and stepped inside with my brother’s at my back.
Sitting in the middle of the empty warehouse were Beckett and Lily, tied together. They both looked up as I ran toward them.
“Stop!” Beckett screamed.
Lily nodded, and we all stopped in our tracks.
“We’re wired together. If we move or you pull us apart, we’ll all fucking blow.”
Hawk carefully stepped forward. “Alright. Just sit still and let me handle it.”
He took out a small kit and moved closer to them, taking a small pair of wire cutters out. Hawk moved around Lily and Beckett until he saw the wiring.
“Whoever did this is a fucking amateur.”
Lily sniffled. “That’s what happens when you’re shot in both legs. Blood loss makes you woozy.”
“Fuck, princess. Who shot who?”
She smiled as Hawk got to work cutting the wires.
“I shot Rob. Twice.”
“Rob?”
Lily nodded. “Tessa’s boyfriend. It was them who took the kids. We need to hurry and get out of here so we can save the kids.”
Hawk snipped a wire and stepped back. “Should be good. All wires are cut. I’ll check around the building to make sure there's no other traps.”
I rushed over and untied Lily and Beckett, pulling my woman into my arms.
“What the fuck happened? I was so goddamn worried!”
“I got a call. I needed to save them…”
Beckett stood and looked at me. “I’m so fucking sorry, Moose. I tried to save them. I even made them take me so I could try to do fucking anything.”
“You did good, kid. Really fucking good.”
Lily stood up and walked outside, and we all followed.
“We need to get a move on. They’re getting further and further away the more fucking time we waste.”
“Baby, slow down. Where are they going? What is going on?”
Lily flipped around, fire in her beautiful eyes. She once again was that cold-blooded gang princess from before.
“They’re gonna fucking sell them. She doesn’t even want them! Trust me, Moose. When I get my hands on that fucking bitch, she’s going to die for what she’s done.”
Beckett hopped in the truck. “I put a tracker on the car Rob was driving so you can track it. Let’s fucking go.”
Lily hopped in the front seat and started the truck up, not even waiting for us to get on our bikes. We all rushed over and followed her down the road back to the clubhouse.
Lily rushed inside and ran right up to my office. I sat down in the chair, pulling her onto my lap as I pulled up the kids’ trackers and the one in the car.
Beckett was right behind me, and the rest of my brothers were all crowded in the hallway.
“Looks like their watches are gone. But I’ve got one in their shoes and it’s moving along the same path as the car.”
