He laughed and nodded. “Of course. What’s going through that mind of yours?”

“One of the women said something about a cult... and it all makes sense. I think Parker is trying to escape from a religious cult on the outskirts of town. I put some calls in and I’ve been trying to research more.”

“You’ll figure it out and save her, baby.”

I softly ran my hand down his chest as the cool fall breeze whipped around us. Moose pulled me closer to him.

“So what are your plans for the future, princess?”

I looked up at him. “Like... for us?”

“Yeah, babe.”

“Uh... I don’t know. What do you see?”

Moose smiled as he looked up at the moon. “Us.”

I laughed as he leaned down to kiss me.

“What about us?”

“I see you in my bed every night, so stop looking for a place and move in already.”

We both laughed as I sat up to kiss Moose.

“Good thing I haven’t been looking for a place, huh?”

“Good fucking thing, princess. So start moving your shit into my room and make yourself at home. Cause I’m never letting you go.”

I pushed off and playfully slapped his arm. “So fucking bossy.”

Moose caught my hand and brought it to his lips, kissing down my wrist.

“You love it, baby.”

Smiling, I moved closer to kiss him again.

“That I do. And I love you.”

Chapter Eighteen

Moose

Iwokeuptoan empty bed and followed the noise from downstairs. Lily was in the kitchen making lunches for the kids while they ate breakfast, chatting away with her.

I smiled and watched as she laughed along with them and walked over to do Nova’s hair. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I looked down to see Hawk was calling. Walking back upstairs, I answered the phone.

“Yo, man. What’s up?”

“Lilah and Striker had another damn baby this morning!”

I laughed, “Of course. He’s gotta have enough for a full football team.”

“Baby boy was early. They named him Cash Levi Walker.”

“Damn. How is everybody doing?”

I could hear him pass the phone to Sav. “Amazing! We’re going to see them now. I’ll send pictures! I can’t wait to snuggle him.”
