“Oh, I’m fine, it’s refreshing to see him lose his shit.”
We both laughed as Moose sat across from me and plopped his boots on the edge of my desk.
“What are you doing today?”
He smiled as he took my hand in his. “I stopped by the diner to check on Sav, but she’s all set. Doesn’t even need me anymore.”
I faked a pout. “Awe does that hurt your feelings?”
He pulled me into him and kissed me. “It does. Will you make me feel better?”
Laughing, I got off his lap and walked to the coffee machine.
“Later, baby.”
Moose winked and shrugged. “To be honest, it’s almost kind of a relief. It gives me more time to spend with my kids and working on my security systems.”
“Well, that’s nice. Is that something you would want to do full time?”
“Hm. I’ve always loved computers and shit. It would be awesome to set up a security company. Like a legit one.”
I smiled as I placed a cup of coffee in front of him. “Let’s do it.”
“What?”
“Set this company up. I’ll help you with all the paperwork. Are there any buildings around here you could rent or buy?”
Moose sat back with his fingers laced behind his head. “There are a few empty buildings I could buy.”
“Perfect, babe! Let’s get this banged out.”
He laughed as he watched me scribble plans out on my notepad. I looked up, and he winked.
“What’s going on in that head of yours, Moose?”
“I’m taking you on a date tonight.”
I tilted my head. “Not even gonna ask?”
“Nope. Sav and Hawk are taking the kids tonight and I’m gonna treat my woman.”
I blushed as he gently kissed the back of my hand.
“Well then. Where are we going?”
“Nope. Not telling you. Just dress fancy, that’s all you need to know.”
Throwing my head back, I laughed and smiled at him.
“I guess I’ll take it. Now, let’s get back to this security company.”
MooseandIworkedout all the details of his new company. Striker had come by to check it out as well and said he had the club's backup to get it started. He had even offered one of his buildings he had bought.
Moose was over the moon with joy and it made me so happy to help him follow his dreams.
We were back at the house now, and I was getting ready for our date. Moose had said to dress up, so I was going through all my dresses, trying to find the perfect one.
I finally settled on a black long sleeve bodycon dress that fit me like a glove. Pairing it with a cream cashmere long sweater and black knee high velvet boots, I finished it with gold accent jewelry; a gold choker necklace that had a piece that dangled down my breasts and gold bracelets and earrings.
