I turned to her law firm to see if I could dig up any more info on her past. The only thing I found was one of the lawyers working there had an engagement to Lily. I pulled up that news article and saw them standing next to each other, all smiles.

Dexter Adams.

As I searched his name, I found that the law firm they both worked for belonged to his father. Everything was slowly coming together on why Lily would up and move.

They had clearly ended their engagement when his father wouldn’t promote Lily. I sat back in my chair and ran my hand through my hair.

Lily had worked so hard for all of this, even changed her name. She had to be hiding something to go that far.

My phone rang, and I looked down to see Sav’s name flashing across the screen.

“Hey, baby girl. What’s up?”

“Hey, Moose! Just wanted to let you know Tessa is at my apartment. The kids are safe but she’s outside screaming.”

I sighed and got up from my desk.

“I’ll be there in a few. Have you called the police?”

“Already done. They should be here soon.”

I locked up my office and walked toward my truck.

“Good, good. Be there soon. Love you.”

I hung up and hopped in my truck, tearing out of the clubhouse. Tessa was playing with fire. I would fucking destroy that woman if she hurt my kids, Savannah included.

Iparkedacrossthestreet from Sav and Hawk’s place and watched as the police hauled Tessa away. She looked like a mess; hair flying all over, dress falling off her shoulder, one shoe missing.

Tessa was screaming as they tried to shove her in the back of the car. I opened the door and walked over to the other officers.

“Moose.”

“Officer.”

He nodded toward Tessa. “She was screaming that Savannah kidnapped her kids. Went off on her and followed her back here. Your girl saved those kids by putting herself between your ex and the kids.”

“Fuck. Is she okay?”

“Yeah. Bloody nose but she’s tough.”

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.

“This is getting out of hand. We have a restraining order against her. How much more needs to happen for her to leave us the fuck alone?”

He patted my arm as Tessa pounded on the window with her head.

“Lord fucking knows. I want her gone as much as you. Your lawyer is upstairs and dealt with everything already. I gotta take care of this fucking crazy.”

He walked over to the car and ripped open the door, leaning in to talk to Tessa. I walked up the steps to Sav’s apartment and slowly opened the door.

I could hear laughing and moved down the hall. Nova was in the kitchen with Savannah baking, and Maddox was sitting in the living room with Hawk, playing a video game.

Lily was sitting at the kitchen table with papers scattered in front of her. She looked up and I couldn’t help but smile.

She was wearing a tan and black plaid skirt with a tight, long-sleeved black shirt tucked into it. Lily had on her classic black heels that accentuated her long tan legs.

As she turned her head, her ponytail whipped around. All I could think about was wrapping it around my fist as I pounded into her from behind.
