Nova and Maddox couldn’t get enough of her. Our little family was so perfect. Sav and Hawk were there as well and took plenty of beautiful pictures for us.
Looking around the room, I couldn't help but smile. Javier and his mother were on video call with Nova and Maddox, who were gushing over Avyanna.
Moose leaned down and kissed my forehead. “We did good, princess.”
I smiled up at him. “Yes, we did. She’s so perfect.”
Mama Crawford came in the door and headed right over to me.
“Oh, lordy. I am so excited for a new grandbaby! How are you doing?”
“I’m doing good. Avy is over there with her big sister and brother.”
She kissed my head and walked over to get her turn with the new baby. Despite having ten grandkids already, she was treating Avy like she was her very first one. Mama Crawford had taken Moose under her wing and treated him like one of her own.
This entire club was a family and you would never know they weren’t all related by the way they acted; and I loved it.
Mama Crawford cooed and hummed at Avy before bringing her over to me. Placing her in my arms, she handed me a bottle and kissed me again on the head.
“You spend some time with your baby and husband. I’ve got the kids until you’re ready to come home. It’s no rush at all.”
Moose chuckled. “I think we’ll be able to go home tomorrow.”
She playfully slapped him on the arm. “Oh no. You stay the full three days and let this new mama have all the help she needs. Savvy and I have the kids taken care of. Seriously, soak it up while you’re here.”
She hugged Moose and me, then stepped outside. Nova and Maddox came over with Sav and hugged us all goodbye as well. Hawk was the last one to leave and promised Moose he would give us updates on the kids.
Once everybody had left the room, I closed my eyes to enjoy the silence before opening them again.
Moose was gazing down at me and our baby girl with a huge grin on his face.
“I just can’t believe how perfect she is. All our kids are so perfect, princess.”
“They certainly are.”
The door opened, and Lilah came in to check on us.
“How’s your pain, Lily?”
I shrugged. “Honestly, not that bad. I’m sore, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.”
She smiled down at me as she checked a few things. “You just let me know if you need anything. After Scarlett, I was in a ton of pain. Nothing wrong with asking for help.”
“Thank you. Maybe some before we go to bed would be nice…”
Lilah laughed. “That’s what I thought. I’ll grab some and then check on you before I head home. Striker is going a little crazy at home with the kids.”
Moose shook his head. “Maybe he should stop putting so many damn babies in you.”
“Maybe just a few more. We always wanted a big family.”
She smiled before heading back out. I laid my head back as Moose picked up our sleepy little baby and laid her in the small crib placed next to my bed.
“You did so good, Lily. I’m very proud of you.”
“I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Moose pushed the couch closer to the bed so he could lie on it and still hold my hand.
