We laughed together as I browsed through the dresses.

“Is that what you still want? Strippers and cocaine?”

Delphina threw her head back and laughed. “No gang banger weddings for me. Not only am I over them, I am never getting married. Give me one-night stands and fuck buddies.”

I beamed at my friend. “You’ll change your mind. We all did.”

Savannah nodded. “Yup. I left an abusive relationship and was all about being single. Then Hawk wouldn’t leave me alone and boom. Together.”

Delphina laughed. “You all got good guys. That’s the difference. Enough about all of this. Let’s talk bachelorette party!”

The girls started talking a mile a minute while I sat back and smiled. Life was great, and I wanted to capture it all.

Aweekhadgoneby and I was so over the wedding planning; it just wasn’t my thing. I had completely left everything in Delphina’s hands. If I could, I would just elope with Moose and the kids, but I knew how important it was to have everybody there.

I was home working on some cases when Moose came home. He bent down and softly kissed me on the head.

“How’s my baby doing in there?”

He kneeled down next to me and gently caressed my growing belly. I smiled as he whispered to our little growing baby.

“You are so loved already, little bean.”

Moose kissed my stomach before standing up and taking my hand in his.

“Come on, princess. They need you at the clubhouse.”

I smiled as I slipped on my shoes and he helped me into my jacket.

“Should I act surprised?”

Moose laughed as he opened the truck door and helped me in.

“Bambi spilled the beans, huh?”

“Yes, she did.”

Moose just smiled as he got into the driver’s seat. “I still have a few other surprises up my sleeve, princess.”

We drove ten minutes to the clubhouse and I could see everybody’s trucks, cars, and motorcycles parked.

Moose carefully helped me out and took my hand in his as we made our way to the door. He looked down at me and kissed me.

“Happy birthday, beautiful.”

As Moose opened the door, balloons and streamers filled my view. All my friends and family were crowded into the clubhouse under a birthday banner.

“Happy birthday, Lily!”

All the men and their Old Ladies were here with the kids, along with Mama Crawford, Tia Rosa, Javier, and Delphina. I even saw Joker over in the corner. Moose and I moved into the clubhouse as everybody stopped to wish me a happy birthday.

Moose placed his hand on the small of my back and led me to a table. I carefully sat down as Nova and Maddox came running over.

“Happy birthday! We want you to open our gift first!”

I pulled them both into me and hugged them tight.

“I love you two.”
