I grabbed my cut and boots and ran out my door. Hopping on my bike, I raced toward the gates. The Prospect whipped them open for me.

“Everything okay?”

I shook my head. “No. It’s Sav. Get the guys to her place as soon as possible.”

He nodded his head as I tore down the road. I didn’t care how fast I was going, I just needed to get to my woman.

As I reached Savannah’s building, I pulled around back and parked my bike. I jumped off and ran toward her stairs.

Savannah was pacing back and forth at the bottom of her stairs, blood splattered her clothes and a gun in her hand.

I could see she was shaking and crept toward her.

“Sav, baby. What’s going on?”

She turned to me with a scared look in her eyes.

“I did it. I killed him. I shot him twice. Everything just happened so fast. I thought he was gonna kill me. Oh, my god I fucking killed him.”

Sav turned and started puking. I rushed over and grabbed the gun away, making sure the safety was on before putting in my waistband.

“Shhh. Let it all up, baby. I got you now.”

She finished puking, and I pulled her into me, stroking her hair as she bawled her eyes out.

“Come on, let’s get you inside and then we’ll deal with this. We can’t be out here right now.” I grabbed her hand and pulled her up the stairs. “Where’s the body?”

Her body shuddered at just the word, and more tears fell.

“Living room.”

I nodded and pushed her right into the bathroom to avoid seeing Lloyd’s lifeless body again. Sitting her on the toilet, I pulled my phone out and dialed Striker up.

“Hey, man. Got an issue here that needs to be cleaned up.”

“Savannah?”

I nodded. “Yup. Prospect is getting more guys already.”

“Alright. I’m on my way.”

I hung up and turned to Sav. Getting on my knees, I got down right to her eye level, holding her hands in mine.

“Listen to me, Savannah. Everything is gonna be okay. I’m here now and the guys are on their way. Just take some deep breaths. Let’s get you some clean clothes. Are you hurt anywhere?”

She nodded. “He hit and kicked me. He was going to kill me…”

“Okay, baby. Just stay right here. Let’s get you cleaned up.”

I moved toward her bedroom and grabbed some clean clothes for her. Back in the bathroom, I stripped her down and looked over the cuts and bruises that were already forming.

“We need to take pictures.” I took my phone out and snapped a few before moving to clean the cuts up.

As I finished cleaning her up, the front door creaked open. I grabbed my gun, quietly moving toward the door. Lloyd’s father, Eckhart, was standing over his son’s body.

I cocked my gun back, and he turned to me. He ran toward the door before I could catch him.

“Fuck!”
