Throwing my uniform on, I headed out the door. Not surprisingly, there was another box from Hawk sitting on my welcome mat.
I grabbed it and placed it inside before walking back down. A manila envelope sat on the bottom step and I picked it up.
Opening it, I found more pictures of Hawk and other girls, along with a note from Lloyd. I growled and shoved it in my purse. I was getting more and more annoyed with the men in my fucking life.
Couldn’t they just leave me the fuck alone?
Beckett appeared from around the corner with two coffees in his hands, pushing one cup toward me.
“Morning, Sav. Ready for work this morning?”
I smiled at the young kid. “Eh, feeling a little nervous, but I’ve got you and Moose to watch out for me.”
Beckett and I walked down Main Street, chatting about small things.
“Oh. Did you see anybody around the building today? Lloyd left an envelope with another note and pictures. And there was the box from Hawk.”
He shook his head. “Nah, I was off this morning. But I’ll check the security cameras. We’ll call the cops when we get to the diner. You should open the box from Hawk, though.”
“And why is that?”
Beckett laughed. “I know what he bought and you’ll be pumped. He misses you, Sav. I really think we should take another look at those pictures. He’s been holed up at the clubhouse for over a week now.”
We reached the diner, and Beckett opened the door for me. He nodded toward Moose and guided me to a booth.
“Lloyd was by. Wanna give the cops a call?”
Moose grabbed my hand. “You okay, babe? Did he say anything?”
I shook my head. “No. He left this envelope on the steps.”
Moose went through the pictures and read the note. I could tell he wanted to rip it all to shreds, so I gently took them away.
He walked away, and I laid all the pictures out. Beckett pointed at which pictures he thought were fake.
“This one. That’s fucking Bambi, but that’s not Hawk. I mean, it’s his face but not his body. Fuck, that sounds weird.” We laughed and then he pointed out the tattoos. “See. That’s Goose’s tattoo. I fucking knew these were fake!”
I looked closely and saw exactly what he was talking about.
“Do you think the other ones are too?”
Beckett nodded. The bell chimed, and the police walked over to our booth.
“Hi, officers. I received this today from Lloyd Eckhart. I have a restraining order against him.”
They wrote a report and took the envelope.
“We’ll get this all settled, miss. Call us if you see him again.”
I thanked them and got to work. Moose pulled me into the office before I could take my first customer.
“I’m taking you home tonight. And Beckett will be on watch all fucking night. I don’t want you out of our sight.”
I shook my head. “It’s fine. He’s just leaving pictures, not hurting me.”
“Until it’s too late. Savannah, we’re going to protect you.”
I smiled up at him and softly touched his arm.
